Hi All,
I am already in Canada on OWP , my PR application is in Amman visa office still shows "Application Received" since 1 JAN 2013 , it means they did not even start processing the file , My question is "Is it possible to transfer my file from Amman visa office to Canada " ,and if possible does that mean faster processing for the PR application ?

Hi Hadeel,
You can send an email to request your file transfer to Ottawa, yes it will much faster if your transfer is approved.

My application Reached Nova Scotia office in Dec 2012 and 1st AOR in January 2013 . I am not sure when was my file transferred to Srilanka. I need to check my mails and see what was the date for Second AOR when file got transferred to Srilanka....Anyways then I tried to wake them up and they asked for RPRF in June then some docs in July 2013, After that they are in Deep sleep. I tried to wake them up in Nov but of no use they are still sleeping. May be they will wake up in New Year 2014 after realizing that this person has already worked in Canada for more than 2 years so he might be able to Survive Harsh Canadian Winters and then issue me PR visa.... ;D . Lets hope for good.

How did you pay your RPRF fees.. I am since out of country not sure how to figure this out, also what kind of documentation did they ask

I paid RPRF through Indian Demand Draft in Indian Currency for an amount equal to RPRF Fees mentioned on NDVO Visa Office Website. Srilanka Visa office advised me to Pay that fees at NDVO and then submit fees payment reciept to Srilanka Visa office. Ask any of your family member / friend in India to make that DD and Write your Application Number, Your Name ( and names of other members from your PR Application ) at the backside of your Draft, Also Attach the printout of e-mail you got from CIC to submit RPRF fees.

I sent that Demand Draft to NDVO by post as NDVO does not entertain in person DD submission through their visa office counters, they ask you to send DD by post. Moreover NDVO never send you any receipt of that RPRF Fees, so I mentioned Srilanka office that I have paid the fees but NDVO has not sent me any receipt, so check in your systems whether you can see that fees payment on my file number. That is strange that inspite of being visa office of one Country their processes are not aligned. Looks like they need some consultants for CMMI implementation .

Re Additional Documents , Proof of funds , Educational Qualifications, Work experience etc for myself & Spouse, PCC translation ( Although every line in PCC was written in 5 different languages and English was one of them, so I had to tell them that English is already there so there is no need to translate from english to english ) . Same repeated information again and again it seems their Database design is not supporting their needs properly ;-). Additional new thing they asked for was Fingerprints for Criminal record extract . I believe that check is taking time, I heard that RCMP takes upto 6 months to verify Criminal records using Paper based Fingerprints scan whereas Criminal Check using Digital Fingerprint scans just take 2-3 weeks.

Same situation with me, My application is getting processed in Srilanka Visa Office ( Although Home visa office is NDVO - New Delhi Visa Office ) and my application status is also showing "Application Received" since some date from December , 2012 . I am also in Canada on OWP and my Residential and Mailing address is updated on my file as Canadian Addresses. I am not sure how to Transfer File to Canada Visa office. I heard that when a Decision is made on our file , Srilanka Office asks us to send our passport to NDVO for PR Visa stamping . Because we are already in Canada and Indian Law does not allows us to send our passport through Postal Mail to India, so we want Visa Stamping in Canada . Then we need to Contact Local MP for this request , then MP contacts CIC Immigration Minister . Upon the recommendation of CIC Immigration Minister the file gets transferred to Canada Visa office for PR Visa Stamping within Canada as we are already present in Canada .

If you know about any easy process to transfer file to Canada then please find that process and share with us so that all of us who are in Canada on OWP can get our files transferred to Canada Office.

Congrats, Long waiting time is over for you . Did Canadian Embassy in Abhu Dhabi asked you to submit your passport at NDVO or to Canadian Embassy in Abhu Dhabi only ?

I have been asked to submit to Canadian emnassy in Abu Dhabi as i chose abu dhabi in my application as it was my place of residence.
However i dont think now the canada visa is of much use to me. Neither can i leave my tax free UAE government job nor can i send my wife and my child of 4 years to canada and stay without them here. The canada visa is at best a backup for next 5 years. I wsh they had processed my application in 2005 when i really needed it.Anyway that's life.

I have been nominated for Ontario FSW Pilot Program in 2012. I have submitted PR application in March 2012. I have en email from Centralized Intake Office Sydney, Nova Scotia on 27 May 2013 stating that my application is complete and would be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.

Now, when I check my application status on CIC website it is as follows:-
We received your application for permanent residence on April 2, 2013.

I have not received any email/letter from visa office yet. As I am from Pakistan, my visa office is CHC London.

I have few questions and would like any member of this forum should respond. Thank you.

1. Will visa office send any acknowledgment letter for receiving the documents or completion of application?
2. Will Visa Office inform about the processing of application?
3. My application status is Applicaton Received.What does it mean? Does it mean application process not started yet?
4. For application process time for PNP from CHC London is 27 months. Is this process time also apply to Ontario FSW Pilot program nominees?

I can understand your position, That is the problem with Canadian PR application processing. They do not process it within the time lines when the person needs it the most. We spend a hell lot of energy, time and money in waiting for that PR visa and by that time we get that visa its of no use because a lot of circumstances change in our life. If you have a good job , Secure Life & Corruption free environment and most importantly if you are enjoying there in UAE then I can understand that UAE will always be your plan A and Canada will always be Plan B Wish you all the best and good luck.

Thanks for sharing this good information. I think then the best option is to wait till our file gets processed in the Visa office Abroad and get it transferred to Canada after processing is over on that and a decision has been made on our application just for the purpose of In-Land PR Visa stamping when you are not able to send your passports through Courier to Visa Office Abroad for PR Visa stamping.

Hi there, please see answers below:
1. Will visa office send any acknowledgment letter for receiving the documents or completion of application? Typically, there is no acknowledgement from the visa office.
2. Will Visa Office inform about the processing of application? When the visa office starts processing your application, your status on CIC website (ecas) changes to ‘In Process” and the visa office may request some additional documents/information by sending you an email.
3. My application status is Applicaton Received. What does it mean? Does it mean application process not started yet? Yes, you have to wait a little more for application processing to start.
4. For application process time for PNP from CHC London is 27 months. Is this process time also apply to Ontario FSW Pilot program nominees? Yes, the same processing time applies to Ontario FSW Pilot nominees.
You could check the processing timelines of Pakistani PNP applicants at other threads to get an idea of where you stand compared to others. Wishing you a speedy processing!

I landed in Canada last month & in online status, left hand side only "Toronto, Canada" is displaying while on right hand side my mailing address of India is showing.

My question is, should I modify Canada's address (which is on left side) to the full/exact address or should I keep it unchanged?
