I got nomination under FSW Pilot , Ontario Opportunities and received a support letter for open work permit as well.

Although the cover page mentions that they support work permit application for me and my immediate family but the formal support letter mentions only my name and does not say anything about support of my spouse.

No, you only need to apply for your open work permit. This open work permit will allow your spouse to work as well. She does not need to apply for a separate Temporary Resident Visa.

If you were successfully nominated under the FSW Pilot, then you only need to apply for one open work permit. You will have to contact CIC to see if you can possibly get the fee back for the work permit application for your spouse.

thanks for you reply, yes I am successfully nominated under the FSW Pilot. my package which I have been already applied contains 2 work permit for me and my spouse and 3 visitor visa for my three children .if I could not get fee back . how it will effect our work permit application? .

The fee for the work permit is non-refundable. Please contact CC for clarification.

So this means 150$ fee includes the WP application for you and your spouse, plus an additional 150$ is payable for each of your children. But you do need to send in separate applications for TRV's for your children.

Hi Hadeel,

Do you have a VFS office close by. If you do then I would suggest you either call them and ask them for clarifications regarding spouse and children visas and if you need to fill that form TRV (5257) for them. Also please check the website relating to your visa office, from what I read it says you have to include separate applications for each of your family members along with your applications.

1. If you have to fill in the form and the TO and From dates would be the two year period that you are applying for, say 31/12/2012 - 29/12/2014 - it accepts the date I checked.

2. The address - I put in NA and it accepted it.

3. About form IMM5257 - Schedule 1 - I dont think you need to fill it, If you check the form IMM-1295,
it says at the bottom after Question 6 If you checked “Yes” to 3-6 you may be required to complete IMM 5257 – Schedule 1.

Also my advice to you is, first fill the WP forms for you and spouse - add your children's details in the family information form and wherever applicable. Then call the VFS office and clarify the above. I will see if I can find more information on the same. Give me till monday.

I hope you can give me a certain answer today please , as I have to send the application with a friend travelling to Amman tomorrow , because I am from Iraq ,I am still so confused because of the below :
1- the intended period to stay in canada can not be set preciesly as the processing time of the WP is not fixed , it might take from 6 weeks to 4 months and I do not want to lose any additional time of the validity of my work permit

so appreciate your feedback about SHould we fill the form IMM 5257 for minors ?

for those who applied for OWP, aside from the required forms, did you guys submit any supporting documents ? education and employment certifications? or because its an (open work permit) and
its suported with letter of support, no need for any supporting docs ???

plz advice, I'm about to apply and won't my application to be returned back to me..!!

Hi Everyone, I received an email from CIC stating that my application for PR under PNP is complete and will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing. Also included in the email are UCI and Application nos. Does anyone received the same email? Would anyone know how long is the processing after receiving such email? Happy holiday everyone!

I have made sure that the form 5257 is not required in Amman visa office , as they mentioned clearly that this form is required for (18 years or older )

it really depend on the VO , like UK is requiring this form for all family members

1) how much money we need to show..(is it same what we sent to CIO).
2) what would be mode of payment . i m from PAKISTAN.
3) what should we do for duties, employer, title becoz we are FSW applicants?
4) what is point number 7 on check list....

Hello All
Is there any forms available to show the break up of the processing fees that we are paying to CIC. Say in my case im thinking of
1. OWP for myself 150 CAD.
2. Single entry TRV for my wife 75 CAD
3. Single entry TRV for my kid 75 CAD.

In total i need to pay 300 CAD to CIC in a Single Bank DD. But how will i inform CIC about the breakup?

Can we attach a free form letter showing the breakup ?

In India VFS website, has mentioned an additional check list where they have asked for Education and Work exp. All photo copies only.
In addition to these documents they have also asked for last 1 yr bank stmt, Income proof, Tax returns etc.

hi all

could u please tell me few points

did i have to send the photocopy of nomination certificate along with my PR application or i have to send the original i got from ontario PNP .
In check list it is written copy. but the letter i got from ontario is containing COPY written on it . so little bit confused...do reply so that i am send my application for PR.
When i photocopy this letter it VOID Came on the whole page many times like watermark.
Do reply and tell me also tell me how to photocopy it.
