i reached few days before still i am jobless. Now i want to apply my wife " Visit visa " to work permit.Can you please update me , how i proceed it.

can you please give me complete info.

Is it possible that i am still job less and my wife can get work visa ( as she come on visit visa).

Yes I think you can apply to change status within canada.

Better to call CIC call center and also check with them as well.

i have one question

As i have been waiting like all for my medical since long. so i need to ask that my passport is going to be expired after 6 months..

1) should i apply for new passport and cancel the current one RIGHT NOW?
2) should i wait for my passport expiry then apply for new passport.

please your suggestions would be appreciated cordially.

I suggest you apply for a new passport as soon as possible because visa office will need a passport valid for atleast six months to stamp your visa. It is not advisable to wait for passport to expire and then initiate renewal. The validity of the visa will be ONE year from the date of medical or expiry date of the passport which ever comes early.

then should i send my new passport copy to VO because i already sent my passport copy and its expiry to embassy around 1.5 year ago .... ?

you are welcome. i dont think you need to send a copy of renewed passport to visa office but it is up to you if want to update them. normally, during application processing, you need to update the visa office for only two things 1) change in family status and 2) change of address.

I was nominated for PNP-Ontario (2173) under FSW Pilot Program back in November 2012. I submitted my PR application in Feb 2013 and additional documents (requested by London Office) were submitted in September 2013. My application status is still "Application Received" since Feb 2013 and no request for Medical. I have not applied for Open Work Permit yet. My question is: Can I apply for OWP now or I missed the deadline?

I think you should be able to apply for an open work permit (OWP) if the support letter issued to you by Ontario is still valid. Just check the conditions of validity in the letter. The big question for you is: should you go on OWP or not? I never applied for OWP so I dont have any personal experience to share. Maybe someone who is right now in Canada on OWP can tell you more about pros and cons.

Ok Guys!

After getting my passport request from Colombo (original VO being NDVO), I submitted my passports last thursday and to my surprise I got those back on following Tuesday with COPR and Visas stamped. To my surprise that was really quick and credit goes to NDVO for taking my request for travel abroad in May. Its being so relieving to get this process completed.

Setting my eyes on next project: How and when to move to Canada (Getting a Job etc.) ? Can anyone advise me on this and share a link to the forum where such information is being shared ? Help and advise from someone who has already landed would be greatly appreciated.

For the information of those whose applications are moved to Colombo and waiting: Visa in passports reads "Issued At: Colombo" and "Issued On:<Date on which I recieved PP request>". So, when you will get a passport request from Colombo, there shouldn't be any further delay from NDVO in that regard.

Hi , I`m also FSW Backlog Reduction PNP Ontario nominated applicant. As with many others, my file got transferred to colombo from NDVO in dec 13. I`m done with my medicals and paid RPR fees on 17 feb2014. Now its more than 45 days and no news from cvo regarding passport request. I`m waiting at this last stage.. can anybody guide me how long can this wait be?? I applied in 2004 under fsw then..its been waiting for 10 long years.
