here are the main reason that makes me want to take the step of moving to Canada
1- I am Iraqi living in Iraq (if you watch the news you should have a clue about how life is risky in terms of security)
2- I already have a good job in Iraq (telecom software field) , I am optimistic about my chances to get a job there
3- My kids will join school soon , and I do not want to confuse them by joining school in Iraq and then moving to Canada
4- Iraq have no rules restrictions about sending passports by DHL...if the PR got approved
5- I am going to face the difficulties of job hunting sooner or later , with or without PR
6- I am in my thirties of age , I think time is valuable in terms of starting a new life
Appreciate your comments
Hi Hadeel1234,
You have valid Points and a quick look shows that most of your points are on the +ive side of following scale.
3----+----2----+----1----+----0----+----1----+----2----+----3
^
(-ive) | (+ive)
Just jot down all the points on the following scale and see which side is heavy as per your priorities / situation and that will make you more confident about your decision.
As I said someone might be in USA on H1, Someone might be in Australia / europe on WP or other developed countries abroad where they are earning well and gaining international experience in the field of their expertise and they don't wanna loose their current opportunities in search for a survival job in Canada.
Every one's case is different. Like I was in India ( luckily Law and Order situation is not that bad like middle east ) and had many good opportunities of working in another countries through international assignments of my previous employer then I might be feeling like a fool if I had discarded those opportunities and came to Canada in search for a good life and then eventually landed in a survival job ?
I have seen many people who take leave without pay from their present jobs in home country, Come to Canada to complete their landing for PR and then after getting their PR cards ( within 3-4 months ) they go back to home country . Then they plan their trip once again when they make up their mind that how they are going to survive here without good job / with survival jobs or they wanna study further or any other settlement plans.
