Maybe someone could help me with this question - I received PT Notification from Ontario. I qualify under CEC and FSW. I want to apply under FSW with my occupation Property Administrator which is the occupation in my express entry profile.

There is a question in the forms that asks what occupation do I intend on working in ontario. I think I should continue on with property administrator as that is the occupation that qualified me for FSW and I feel if i put a different occupation they would reject my application because that occupation would not correspond with what is qualified as federal skilled work.

Please let me know what you think as I almost sent the occupation with a different occupation and realised the mistake and went back to the post office and asked for the documents back.

Go with the occupation in your EE profile. To change to a different occupation for the sake of a potential PNP, could complicate things down the track (especially if you are successful and receive an ITA based on PNP). CIC might ask you why you had a different occupation in your PNP application to that which is indicated on your EE profile. Maintain consistency throughout the process.

Thank you so much JoacRY! That is what I thought too so thats why I had to get the documents back from the post office and make sure they did not mail it out. I will change it and mail it out tomorrow.

In the letter explaining ties to Ontario - I had also mentioned going to school to pursue my masters in International Business then I will ultimately settle in Toronto , the financial capital. Do you think this should be added or should i omit it?

This will certainly help as it will show your interest in becoming a more educated member of the Ontario community at large. Focus on points such as:
1) The fact that the Universities in Ontario is the best schools to pursue the Masters of International business (if this is genuinely the case).
2) The fact that Ontario presents the best opportunities for your chosen career (again cite genuine examples)
3) The fact that by your presence you will contribute to the diversity, and rich social culture already present in Ontario
4) The fact that you want to further your career and make a substantial contribution to the Province (by way of paying taxes)

These are genuine reasons and as long as you cite contemporary reasons, a Provincial officer would genuinely find it hard to turn down your Letter of Interest for living in Ontario.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much!!! This has helped me tremendously!

I just found out that my money order (1500 CAD) was cashed.
What does that mean?
They have opened my file?
I should receive my AOR shortly?

Yes, they should start to work on your case. Be aware from what I have heard the OINP is a slow process.

This is a positive sign.. surely they can't cash your money if your application was incomplete? Which means you should be due an AOR soon.. right?
