Hi Friends

This is a query regarding the "Work Contract" as required in OINP.

I am an applicant from India, here usually there is nothing like a "Work Contract".

We are usually offered an "Offer Letter" followed by an "Appointment Letter", and the employment exists till termination or resignation.

However, for a very few cases where the employment is not permanent, and/or for a particular period of time... i.e One Year or 6 months etc.. such "Work Contacts" may be issued. For everything else there is an "Offer Letter" and an "Appointment Letter"

Can Indian applicants shed some light onto this please, as how are they proceeding with this particular requirement?

So according to OINP;

1. Any NOIs sent as of February 23, 2017 will be valid for six months for applications to the HCP stream.
2. Wait till after you receive the NOI, then create your OneKey account, you then have 14 days to submit

So DON'T create your Onekey account until you are ready and have all your supporting documents!

So, my case is as below..

I'll be eligibile for OINP in April (will reach 400+ points).. however, I got the work experience points added this month itself and got NOI from Ontario. In this case, I can wait for April (experience to actually complete to claim the points) and then accept NOI and submit docs for OINP?

You can call them and see what they will say. I called the other day but only received official response like "our program is still open". However, according to what I know, they haven't been sending out invitation for a few days.

This estimate is based on the previous data from 2015-2016 - so it might not be as accurate as it can be. They have amended their process now.

Hello All,
Is it still a requirement that when you submit your OINP application that you order a Duplicate ECA Report for OINP (for electronic delivery), in addition to entering your ECA details and uploading a copy of the WES report in the OneKey application? The 2017 application guide doesn't say so explicitly.
This was posted as an update on their website back in January 2016: I want to know if this still holds true.

World Education Services (WES)
All applications to the OINP must include a copy of the applicant’s WES ECA report.
You must also authorize WES to share the results of your ECA report with the OINP:

If you already have an ECA
If you have an existing WES ECA report, you must order a duplicate of the report at: https://www.wes.org/ca/apply/xcopycic.asp. The “Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, MCI” must be indicated as the recipient of the report.
If you do not have an ECA
If you are applying for the first time for an ECA report, you must select the “Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, MCI” as a recipient of the report.

Yes, didn't receive any NOI from Ontario. Looks like both OINP and IRCC are busy processing their existing applicatoins :-X

I got NOI two days after I have created IRCC profile. Submitted my application on 12th March but haven't got any response yet.
