Hi,Cchabert

I know there is no charge for application of Health card.

For the question, I found the answer to it as below:

"Premiums payment
Do I pay AHCIP premiums?

Albertans do not pay premiums for their health coverage.
Effective January 1, 2009, Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) premiums are eliminated.

All Albertans are responsible to pay AHCIP premiums owing to December 31, 2008 unless they qualify for full premium assistance, government sponsored income support programs, or are a senior citizen."

The above content is from the link as http://www.health.alberta.ca/AHCIP/Q-premiums-payment.html.

I think before December 31, 2008, the people in Alberta need to pay $88 for the health card for a family.

Thanks.

Hi kapilkumar,
Any updates on your side?
As far as I know, now there are only three people left waiting for PPR from NYC Consulate.
You, me and 'Naxas'. Seems like everybody else got PPR from nyc.

Nothing yet. Still waiting for PPR.
I sent another email to NYC Visa Office on 3rd of this month to check on the status but no response.

Thanks

Pl Urgent !!

I am going to Calgary on 22nd of this month. Going by flight from Austin to Calgary, returning via border using AVR.

So my question is 'Do I need to take care anything while leaving US (ie: in the airport)?' like any stamp in passport while taking flight, etc ?

Anyway I won't surrender my I-94. Please seniors help.

They don't stamp anything in passport, I traveled couple of times from Austin to India. By the way I'm also going to Calgary on July 1st.

This is the reply message from Customs and Border protection customer service question about AVR.

Question:
Currently I'm on H1B visa and approved until March 07 2013.
H1B visa in my passport was already expired on August 31 2010. I have scheduled to visit Canada for 4 days from July 1st 2011 to July 5th 2011. Since I have limited time I have not scheduled visa appointment at any US consulate in Canada. am I eligible to use AVR (Automatic Visa Revalidation) to re-enter USA through air?

My home country is India.

Thank you for contacting the CBP Info Center.

In order to eligible for automatic visa revalidation, you should bring the following documentation when traveling:
-Your valid Indian passport with the expired visa
-I-797
-I-94

It is also suggested that you obtain a letter from your employer stating that you are currently employed and that they are aware that you are traveling.

Thank you,
Erica

Pease suggest. My passport was lost in USA. I got new passport issued from Indian Consulate. I have valid I94 AND I 797 with me good till 2012. Can I still use AVR TO re-enter in USA or I need visa. I do have a Police complaint letter on my lost passports.I am planning to do my landing in Canada by mid July.

Members please give you advice!!

We received our PP with the Maple Leaf :)....Plan to land in Mid July.....

If you've lost your old passport then you don't have it at hand with you correct? Then you cannot re-enter and use AVR right? Solution you need to schedule for a interview at an american embassy.

Hi,

Need Help.
Iam planning do my landing on July 16th and be there for good. Actually i got internal transfer from US to Canada.
I have quick question. Along with us iam planning to take my mother to Canada. In order to take her, i need to get visitor VISA for her.
Can i represent my mother and go personally to Buffalo/Newyork office to get Visitor VISA for my mother or my mother should only go to VISA office inorder to get VISA.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
SS

You can go to NY office by yourself. No need to take ur mother with you. There is a representative form you need to fill out and take it with you.
When you go to NY office, make sure you reach there early enough. They are not good at maintaining their own time. (They had 8 to 9:30 time on their wbsite, however, they stopped taking applications after 9 and didn't took application from whole bunch of people. That was my experience couple weks ago.
