Tonyind, naxas, joseph....

Any update from you guys.

A friend of mine had her file stuck at detroit. She was thru FSW. She did ask for status several times thru case specific inquiry. Last week, she send them an email directly instead of case specific inquiry. She received ppt request very next day. I think Tonyind has his file at detroit. You may want to try this if you have not done it so far.

Ofcourse I have emailed several times to NY and there is no reply from them at all.

PaToAb ,

No news so far i sent them case specific inquiry 3weeks ago but no reply, yesterday i sent them email and all i got was a receipt for that email, I guess the online web inquiry does not work i guess it's flooded somehow. Anyways that's all there is.

I am now wondering will they ever going to issue me Visa or not. Fingers crossed. :(

I don't think getting medical expires is a big deal. They will ask you to do medical again. You will end up paying money for that and things will continue. I don't think it has any other implication than cost. This is what I think though. I don't know anyone with real experience with this.

Hi Friends,

Sorry for asking silly questions.
I am planning to go Calgary by end of this month. Also planning to go from Austin (flight) - Border (road) - Calgary(flight). Return will also same.

Can anybody tell, airport names and how to go from airport to border and all details please.

Thanks,
Srikanth.

Actually there is a guy in this forum, he had his file stuck in NY office and he went to the office in person to see what the hold up was, and the VO told him they have to finish files before the medicals expire. I actually have not heard of any case where the medicals have expired and they request those again. I also have read about a few cases (4 - 6) I don’t remember the exact number where the files got stuck somewhere and time passed and the applicants did not requested inquiries and in some cases they will issue the visa with 2 or even 1 day left before the expire date of the exams because that is all the time they have one year since you do your medicals and if you don’t land before the expiry date you will have to start the process all over again. So my advise send inquiries, get caips notes, if you live close to the office go there and ask, if our right to know why they are taking so long???

Not in April but I landed on mid Feb and got my PR card on mid April. Usually it takes 2-3 months. Just quick update from my side. I have been giving few interviews for last couple of months and I finally got an offer last week. I am moving Canada for good soon. Good luck to every body.

Hi VAtoCA,

Are you into IT? I was told by one of my friends in Canada that unless I am in Canada, they wont consider my resume. Did you attend the interviews from here in US?
