Hi Aug_tou

Even my address showed again after some long time.....My application reached July 27th to CIC. I am sure this has happened to all July applicants as well...Hope that is a good sign for PPR or File transfers.

Hi,

I got a letter from CIC Buffalo , they are asking the required documents
1. detailed reference letter from all of your current and former employers in the USA. starting job duties and salary.
2. w2 forms and proof of US income tax filing for all years of residence in the usa
3. 12 months of bank statements transaction history from all the accounts held in any country
4. proof of current immigration status in USA.

please share your and experience.

One of my friend got the same request, W2, bank statements , I guess they want to ensure your current status, he sent all the docs, you should send across them unless you have any issues.

Hi,

Just wondering, did you got the letter from Buffalo or from Detroit.

Is you file still at Buffallo..?

As said by other member, if you have employer exp letters you can other wise make a self explanatory letter and send them all w2's and other docs like h1b

Thanks
Lee

For those who had their stamping done...need your help

i have below instructions for Photo Section in the email that i got

1 -------------> AGE OF PHOTO - 1. Within 6 months; 2. Bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable)

2 -------------->PHOTO PAPER - 1. Produced from the same unretouched film or from the same file capturing the digital image or from two identical photos exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera; 2. On photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date without smearing. Photos without this backing are not acceptable; 3. On prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent fading and discolouration

So for "Bear the date the photo was taken directly on the back of one print" what is the best way to do this... inquired in walgreens/CVS/Sears/Walmart/Costco no body prints date on the back of photo... Can i simply write the date with ball point pen??

Can i use same photos as we initial send them at the time of CIC application to Buffalo? Couple of my frds used same photos for Buffalo & New York Embassy's they were fine... DID someone do the same thing for Detroit embassy...

Seniors pls respond... Thanks

Hello Hoogirl,

My parents were working in Nigeria when I was born, which is where I was born. But I never pursued that citizenship (and it is not automatic in Nigeria). I kept only one citizenship all my life, which is that of my parents... I clearly indicated that in my paperwork, they said they would correct it, so hopefully that will happen soon :( ?

Hello AlbEErta....
My understanding is that one's country of birth is usually also one's country of citizenship unless they renounced their citizenship to become naturalized citizens of another country...or unless they are dual or multi-citizens---in the latter case your country of birth is one of two or more countries in which you are a citizen. So were you born in a country that did not grant you citizenship by birth??? I don't even know what I am saying anymore...you just got me confused. Why is your country of birth not your country of citizenship??

Oooooh...OK. Makes sense now. It will happen soon I am sure. All the best with landing and settling in Alberta:-)
