Hi guys, today I got my PPR from Buffalo via email. My timeline is on the left. I don't know when my medicals were received in Ottawa (I've never sent an enquiry to Ottawa/Buffalo) but the doctor mailed them out on November 22, 2010. I plan to do in-person stamping next week. Will keep this forum informed. Thanks seniors for your insight throughout the process.
CONGRATULATION ,you are really lucky,, Best luck....

Hoogirl,

To all the guys,
I am busy in moving to a new location in Calgary. So I wouldn't be able to reply till Tuesday next week.
Don't think that I am out from the forum.

Good luck to all.

pari7, why are you emotional about Indian team. Very soon you will be in Canada and the sad team has the lowest score record of 36 runs against Srilanka in 2003.

Same here. When I received my passport with the visa, I had one photo affixed to the COPR and the just returned in the envelop. There is no writing on it the 2nd photo nor their is any instruction for it. My guess, it that they used the 2nd photo for scanning purpose to be put into the resident card later. Just a guess.

We got the passports today. We had put two photos for each person. Buffalo returned one and one was stuck on the COPR.

Crap, I typed gibberish. Anyway what I meant to say was that the 2nd photo was included in the return envelop along with the visa stamped passport and COPR. There was nothing written on or about the 2nd photo. If they used it for scanning the photo for the future PR card purpose, that was nice of them to return it. But then of course a question can be asked as to why not use just one photo for scanning and then affixing it to the COPR. Anyway I am glad we are getting visas now.

guys ..a small question.

do we need to apply for SIN and health card on the same day , we land..or can we apply later??
can we apply PR card at the airport itself?..I am trying to book flight to YYC( calagary) from philly,it aint cheap.. so based on your input I want to bid the price on priceline.com.. I am planning to stay in calgary over the weekend ( when all govt offices will be closed).. any help appriciated..

regards..

Landed in Vancouver International airport last February 4 and we received our PR cards March 22. You can call the CIC call centre to ask for the status, it might take a while though and a lot of patience :) I was on hold for over 15 minutes before I was able to talk to an agent.

Hi All,

I have a question for all the seniors who have done the landing formalities. I am plannig to complete landing formalities and come back to US. My question is can we go to any other place where ever I get the job or is it has to be Alberta. If I went to some other place will there be any issues when I apply for citizenship.

Thanks,
