Thanks for the great work you guys have been doing here.
I did my medical in Nov.2010 and still expecting to hear from Buffalo.
Please can the Elders advice me on how to notify Buffalo about a change of Passport.
My country issued me a new passport that has a new number different from the one earlier submitted to Buffalo.

Thanks and remain blessed.

My update is that my file was transfered to Detriot yesterday.
However I am still expecting advice from elders in respect of my Passport issue.

thanks

You can just send the photocopy of the relevant pages (photo page and other info) to Detroit with a covering letter.
I dont think it is really necessary, but I have done this.

Hi VAtoCA

Do we need to take the B4 Form with us or they provide us @ the customs and we just need to list them down. I dont see any instructions in COPR that mentions that.

Please advise.

Thanks

It is pretty simple. You just put description like 5 boxes of clothes or 2 boxes of kitchen items and put the approximate value. Make sure you have your CAR TITLE if you want to import it.

B4 Form: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4-eng.pdf
B4A: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pbg/cf/b4a/b4a-05b.pdf

In my case I only had B4 form filled but the officer there filled my B4A form for Car. I think they can give you the form but since you can easily download it why not take it with you.

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding tranferering funds to Canada when we land/move to Canada.

Do we also declare the funds we are carrying while we land?

Also, what is the best method to transfer/take your funds to Canada?

As always, thanks for your help.

Hi,

If I am only doing my landing and importing my Car later when I move finally, what do I need to do at time of Landing? Is it just list the car on the goods to follow list or is there some more documenation to be done.

Anyone who has already done this please explain.

Thanks,
L.B
You can do that by filling the B4A form for vehicle. In my case the officer asked me if I want to import it now or later, I said later. He filled B4A form for me although I had my car listed on B4 form. Make sure you have your car title with you during landing as they check vin from the title.

NO. They might ask you how much funds you have so it is good to have your bank statement.

Close you US account and make a cashier's check.

As always, thanks for your help.

The CAIPS will not help much .I remember Chigirl and DKS doing this one month ago and it will just reveal the bring forward date which the VO need not adhere to depending on the individual case complexity .Also the CAIPS takes an additional month to come through and will not come immediately ( might be wrong but that is what had read on this forum ...)

P.S. I might not choose to do it since am still in the dark without my file getting updated with the Feb 17th FBI.I have sent multiple faxes and emails ,case specific enquiries ...since that initial communication from the VO that the file has not been updated there has only been radio silence.Yesterday got an email saying your file is in process, no further action needs to be taken.Keep correspondence to minimum ....:) in a polite way asking me to shut up.I replied back asking them to clearly state if they have my FBI certs...

I might on this one for a long time but will pray both you and Lettuce get it soon enough in April.

Agree with lights. 1) It takes about 6 weeks to get the file 2) The VO may or may not stick to the BFD date. Unless you have specific issues like lights, in which case I would suggest that you order the full file, ordering CAIPS notes might not really help.

I ordered it yesterday. I was just curious about my BFD date. Hoping to shed light on my path.

Humm,
Today seems very calm. No PPR or passport returns? Someone must have got something today!
