I faxed a copy of my Car title and additional title to Whitlash office 3 days before the landing to process the same and receive clearance. Next day checked with the Whitlash office whether they have recd the papers as a confirmation and again on the day of crossing the border I checked with the sweetgrass office to get confirmation.

Did you do this part in the US Side ?

Re: My Landing Experience

Thanks. I was looking for a Job from US, even i applied for lot of jobs thru the job portal but nothing came thru. Finally thru couple of my friends i was able to forward my resume and got interview call and finally got the job. My experience so far is that if you have good network of friends in your field of work it will be easy to land in a job ( this exp. is in my civil engineering background)

Re: My Landing Experience

Need help in filling IMM 5444 - what should I write in section B- Place you became permanent resident of Canada- Is it place that we land or the province that nominated us?

Do we need to fill this form IMM 5444 , or IO will do it for us and we just need to provide address in Canada? If we have to do it is it for each applicant?

You don't need to fill IMM 5444 during first landing. Your COPR should be enough to get your PR Card. Also DO NOT fill the COPR yourself. The immigration officer will do it for you.

Guys,

Hope it is good weekend. Any sign of medical received status.

Hi VAtoCA,

Pardon me for my ignorance, but what do it mean to not fill IMM 5444 during first landing? When should it be filled in that case?

Thanks,
L.B

Hey Guys, you won't believe ittttttttttttttt

Guess what, I did not receive any ppr today by mail or email.

Good luck

All,

Below is an response from Buffalo office to my email, looks like it takes more than 30 weeks to get the file number.

"The creation of permanent resident applications in our database along with the mailing of the acknowledgement of receipt letter is taking a minimum of 30 weeks.

Any application submitted without the required documents and information will be returned to the applicant.

You can mail, email or fax your change of address. We will make a note of your change of address and try to match it with your application upon creation. However, due to large volumes received, we can't guarantee the match will be made."

Thanks!

Need some help:

I received a letter from buffalo center

The good part they have received medical results and interview has been waived

The bad part is that they have requested for

- birth certificate for me and my wife (did submit it earlier)
- marriage certificate (did submit it originally)
- for me and my wife FBI reports (did submit it originally)

I can manage the birth and marriage certificates as I have them handy but the FBI certificates that I have are almost 4 -6 months old. Can I send old FBI clearance certificate or try to get new ones. As most of you who have requested for FBI certificates know that it takes 3-4 months to get these and the buffalo center has only given me 90 days to submit these documents.

Any help would be really appreciated.

My meds were done in late sept and received in early Oct 2010.
