Need some help:

I received a letter from buffalo center

The good part they have received medical results and interview has been waived

The bad part is that they have requested for

- birth certificate for me and my wife (did submit it earlier)
- marriage certificate (did submit it originally)
- for me and my wife FBI reports (did submit it originally)

I can manage the birth and marriage certificates as I have them handy but the FBI certificates that I have are almost 4 -6 months old. Can I send old FBI clearance certificate or try to get new ones. As most of you who have requested for FBI certificates know that it takes 3-4 months to get these and the buffalo center has only given me 90 days to submit these documents.

Any help would be really appreciated.

My meds were done in late sept and received in early Oct 2010.

Trying emailing them, along with copies of your FBI certificates, and let them know you have already submitted them along with your original application, and seek a waiver. What was the date on your FBI certs and when did you submit your application ?Hopefully they were dated within the stipulated time frame.

For all those whose timelines are close to mine, and whose file is stuck in Buffalo, I received my CAIPS Notes yesterday. The only information I could gather is my file bring forward date is 03.01.11. ( Considering others ahead of me have not received their pprs, I doubt they will keep to this schedule). File shows my medical results have been received, RPRF paid, and my IA date. No decision yet on background check.

Congrats Chigirl,

What does it mean file bring forward date is 03.01.11.

Thanks

chigirl,
how long did it take for you to get the CAIPS? was it mailed directly to you or with the lawyer? Thanks.

I am not sure if there is anything to be congratulated about. All it says is that they are expected to reopen my file on 03.01. It seems like that haven't looked at it since my IA in November.

No, I ordered it directly and it took about 6 weeks.

Initial Assessment - That's the letter that most of us who files are still in Buffalo received. It states that they have all the requisite docs and the interview is waived.
