Thanks for the response. Mostly NY office sends the PPR through Mail, however, there were instances when they sent the PPR through email as well. Man the waiting time is getting on my nerves and I cant move an inch with respect to my career. Mine was transferred on Dec 2nd and no communication as of now. Did you pay the RPRF at the time of initial application? Man I hope we get something this week. I am not sure why it is so long at NY office whereas other offices are sending PPRs in 3 weeks of file transfer.

Hi,
Rightly said. I don't know what the ........... they are doing at NY. In my case also, i can't even move in my career because of this. I am completeing my H1B 5 years in July. I was thinking not to apply for GC putting my hopes on this so called fast process of PNP. Now i am like should i wait for PPR and not apply GC. If something happens i will not be able to file my GC since i will be completing 5 years in July and attorney need to file latest in march if i want to. On top of that my company is not filing GC any more, so i will have to pay this attorney to file through some consulting company as future employee.

Anyways i didn't intended to write all this here.... it came out of frustration.

Good luck and big hopes to NY guys.

Importing Your Vehicle:

Guys I have started researching steps to follow if you want to take your vehicle/car along with you when we get our PPR and move to canada.

1. Go to http://www.riv.ca/ImporterChecklist.aspx

Put in information for your vehicle and build your checklist.

2. First point in the checklist is "Vehicle admissibility". It has links to the pdf/html document stating each vehicle type and if it is admissibile.

3. Next step is to contact you vehicle manufacturer to have them send you mail/fax letter that you vehicle is not in the category of recalled vehicles.

I will post the rest of the steps as i move forward.....

Keep your hopes high. Eventually it will come. You are not in as bad situation as some others since you still have more than a year on H1B.
Just to correct your thoughts, you are already late for your green card. It will be good for you if you just forget about that. On an average, it takes 6 months to prepare perm application. Mine took 1 year.

Guys!! How come its so dull on a Tuesday morning?? Lets pray to get some good number of PPRs this week! God Bless.

I think I have answered most of your question on my landing experience that I posted couple of days ago.

From my experience they didn't care about the entry point but if they asked you than you can answer the same thing you told me, ie you live close to Buffalo and you are there just for landing, not moving permentaly yet. About goods to follow list, it is called B4 form and I have posted the link there too.

I sent a Prepaid USPS express mail enevelope with tracking number when I sent my passport. So although I got it on regular mail, I already knew it was on my way by using tracking number. Took just a day to reach my place from detroit.

Its been more than two months that My file got transfered to NY (on Dec14th) . I send couple of mails to NY office regarding my missing medicals, attached proof that my medicals resent to NY office from Immigration sections, Ottawa. Today I got mail saying they don't need any further information from me and file is under process.

When I checked my ecase it said Medicals received. I am hoping to get PPR request soon ,not sure that I can go to NY in person to get visa stamped as I have family emergency to go to India. This forum and people are helpful .

Congrats VAtoCA.

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Good News !!! I got PPR request by email today from Seattle.

They have asked to submit the passports within 30 days, along with RPRF. I have to do landing before Aug 5th, 2011.

I have some questions for senior members who already got PPR -

1) The email does not specify anything regarding photos. Do we have to send those anyways ?
2) Details regarding postage by USPS. Which type is better ? How to send the pre-paid envelope (is it with stamps or with the pre-paid sticker) ?

Expecting a reply soon.

Thanks.

Hey Congrats!! today is not a quite day after all! :D

Congrats Yojo. You called this Tuesday a good day!
VAtoCA posted about the photo requirements on January 24, 2011, 04:25:31 pm.
Also you should consider the in-person stamping as its taking a month or so, might be Seatle is quicker. Good Luck :-)
