I am new in this section, but did post some in other sections. I know I have lot of time for the decision but wanted to ask a quick question which I am sure lot of people here wanted to ask.

Can I work in other provinces if I dont find a suitable job in my stream? I been browsing various websites to know about the kind of jobs

I can apply for and it seems Alberta doesnot have lot of IT Jobs. So, will my PR be renewed if i work in other cities like vancouver or toronto?

Will there be a problem when I apply for citizenship?

Thanks a Ton! All the guys contributing to this forum doing awesome job.

No one knows a definite answer... Applying Citizenship / renewing PR is a federal thing... I dont think AINP stated anywhere that we need to be thr full 3 yrs or whatever... but a candidate intention should be to settle in alberta...

so u go thr stay for a month cant get a job ... move to another state whr u get a job...sounds OK but who knows... what the issues would be at the time of renewal.

I agree with you. Also, back in 2008 when AINP was doing webinar, I asked the same question about moving to different provience and the lady from webinar said legally they can't do if one move to different provience however if they find during the process you intent to move they can reject your application. But things have changed since then...Logically if you move to AB and can't find a job there but get an offer from another provience say BC than I'm sure AB wants you to move to BC insteade of paying you unemployment benefit. Just my thought.

Friends,

Can it so happen that either, both the request to pay RPRF and the request to submit passport or just one of these two come after the expiry of one year of from the date when medicals are done?

Has anyone seen cases where one year has passed since the medicals were done and applicants have either not received both the request for RPRF and PPR, or just one of these two?

This will really help me in my planning.

Thank you.

I found this on AINP official page under FAQ. Not sure if this answer all your questions though.
"Do I have to live or work in Alberta?
You must show a clear ability and intention to establish permanently in Alberta in order to be nominated through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). The expectation is that you will live and work in Alberta. If you intend to live in another province, you should not apply to the AINP Strategic Recruitment Stream - U.S. Visa Holder Category."

This is to all those guys, whose file is still in Buffalo office.

If you are east coast resident, plz change your address to Midwest or west coast ( use your trusted friends address).. and file are transferred based on the residential address...

Because ultimately you file will be transferred to NY office (which is the worst) and sits there forever..
I should have done that , now my file is with freaking NY office and no movement. All other offices are responding with in 3-4 weeks with PPR. I am still waiting after 2 months..
And its your call now..

Regards,..

Immediately after landing you are eligible.... since most probably everyone of us will be moving from outside of Canada
