Although I have been checking this forum for some time this is my first post. I want to share some progress about my application.

Today I got email to submit my passport at the Detroit office. My file was transferred there from Buffalo on Jan 5th. My question is do I need to fill any forms while submitting passport. They have only asked for photo and fee. I'm little confused.

Thanks.

Update:
I received my passport back with Visa from NY consulate on the Jan 20th ( was mailed on 19th)
My passport reached NY on 12/29/10.

Now I am planning to complete landing in March, by Road using detroit port of entry.
And will be using AVR for re-entry. Any suggestions for landing via detroit?? I know Bubbly2009 landed somewhere other than alberta.

Planning to completely move to Calgary by Oct 2011.

Hello All,

Another week gone past with disappointment. Was hoping to get the PPR either by email or by mail. But no luck.

This wait is very hard, almost breaks a person down.

I wish luck for all you.

Can you share what documents you sent with your passport? Are there any forms we need to fill?
Thanks.

My file was transferred to LA from Buffalo in September 2010.

Today I received my PPR. The LA consulate email said that I can do in-person. However, it's more than 2500 miles away from NY.

Does anyone know whether they would allow me to do an in-person PR stamping in Buffalo instead, even though my file is in LA?

Anyone has any experience with that? If I can get my PP stamped the same day in Buffalo, why wait the 15 maximum business days in LA, right?

I haven't heard of any forms to be filled out. You just have to attach a copy of the letter from Detroit requesting passport, and the usual stuff - photos etc which they mention in the letter.

Look at post from vsrao

I received our pass port with CPR from Detroit today.

Thanks you every one for sharing your time line and experience in this forum.

Hi SRM45,

As far as I know, once a file has been transferred to LA consulate, all processing will be done there. If you are interested in appearing personally there, please note that LA office accepts in person application only on Tuesday or Thursday till 10 AM. Only principle applicant needs to be present.

Hope this helps.

VAtoCA,
There was no form as such that I had to fill to send with passport.
Just had to send Height & Eye color information on a form that was provided.

If the consulate did not provide you that form, here is my suggestion:
Write Applicant name, dependant name, file number address & Height & eye color of each person and send that along.

Other than this 4 photos & RPRF fee was required.

Each consulate can have minor differences in how they request information. And you can always call the consulate to clarify.
They will provide you the best information in this situation regarding their requirements.

Hope this helps
