Hello Guys,

My understanding was - PNP's don't have to show proof of funds while entering Canada.

However, it appears they are asking for proof .. does anyone have any comments?

I was ask how much I bring but never ask to prove it

Congrats on PPR request from LA office..Hopefully we will have more PPR request in coming weeks....

cchabert already answered this question. you can always be safe by carrying your swiss account statements along rezendgi.

Hi all,
Brisk action from the LA consulate office. I got passport and RPRF request by email from them. Have 60 days to submit these.
All the best!

I applied after getting nominated, I sent the application using lawyer to CIC Buffalo in June 2010. I received request for documents in Aug 2010. I have no updates since then, is it normal? What is the current trend?

Thank you Rubyalabar, chhabert, AG!!!

I will carry copies of my stock holdings and some money I have .. hopefully that should work..

Hi arajesh5,
After completing the medical of the new born baby , did it take three months for you to get passport request?

to all,
Also should we let Alberta know about the new born?

Hey Symmetry!

My wife was pregnant during the application process. We received requests for medical exams. The doctor advised that an X-ray isnt good during pregnancy. He noted it on the medical report. 2 weeks after the birth of the baby, we received a mail from CIC NY asking for 4 things:

1. The pending Xray for my wife.
2. Medical results for our newborn baby
3. Nomination addition of our baby - I called up AINP in Alberta and they added him to the nomination and let the people in CIC-NY know about it.
4. A form (dont remember which) for adding my newborn baby as a dependent.

I did all this - and it added a good 3 months for them to move to the Passport Request stage.

Hope this helps,
G luk to you and your family.

you have to notifify alberta about the new born and get a updated nomination.
