Hello AlbertaGovernor ,AlbertaGovernor said:landing in a another province than the nominating one is definately a risk after the bulletin release.
jonnyU said:I completed my Med on July and I have got nothing so far, no file transfer, not any document request. I emailed cic with my info last week and I got this reply
"We have received the results of your medical exam.
Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete."
Looks like there are few of us in similar situation.

chigirl said:Suggestion is to either fax or scan your medical receipts and send it via email to CIC and let them you have completed your medicals. Also, mention date, location, name of doctor, and date it was sent to Ottawa.
If they do not respond within 3-4 working days, then contact Ottawa. There is a fax number for Ottawa somewhere on this forum

Thank you
chigirl said:My assumption is if all is well, they inform CIC in about a months time.
If you send CIC an email, they do respond in about a weeks time (You might not always get the answer you want). If you're not happy with the response, then think about contacting Ottawa.
jonnyU said:Chigirl, Have you got anything back from CIC since the Med? Your timeline is same as mine.

chigirl said:Agree. Have been researching cars and the prices are outrageous. Recommend you bring your old cars. Especially now since the exchange rates are the same, it seems like your paying a ton of lot more money for the same cars.
But the other thing to also consider is if you bring in your old cars from the US, your car might need some modifications to meet Canadian regulations.
Ell.Bee said:Hi,
Cars cost more in Canada, new as well as used. So you if you a reliable car its better to take it to Canada.
One very small thing as a DRL (Day Running Lights). Not all cars sold in US have DRL, but it is mandatory in Canada for every car to have DRL and it can fail inspections if DRL is missing. When you start the car, the DRL should go on, the officer checks for that.
Thanks,
