1) I would try emailing, they updated my address when I emailed them

2) Same boat, apparently 2-2.5 months depending on visa office I heard

And how do you know when your medicals reached CIC by tracking number? Medicals are sent to Ottawa by your DMP, not to Buffalo...I hope you didn't send medical results directly to Buffalo...

Hello All,

I am new to this form. I would like to know if there is a way to find out when my Cashier's check(Bank of America) is cashed by CIC? amount has already been debited from my account when I got it from bank. so could someone let me know how to find out when it is cashed by CIC.

Thank you in advance.

Initial email sent to AINP: 10/24/2008
AINP Replied with documents request: 10/24/2008
Replied to AINP: 10/31/2008
Acknowledgment email from AINP: 11/03/08
pre-assessment done & Received Invitation to Apply in mail: Dec 2008
Application sent to AINP: March 9, 2009
File Number received from AINP: Sep 22, 2009
email Request received from AINP for current info(Paystubs etc): Mar 19, 2010
Replied to AINP: Mar 20, 2010
Nomination received: 2nd week of May, 2010
Application sent to CIC: Sep 24, 2010

It was tough getting police clearance certificates(PCC) from five different countries for myself and two for my wife. I did not get PCC for two countries where I lived less than 6 months. one certificate(Japanese) among five is getting expired the next day I mailed the application to CIC. I have attached a cover letter for that. Japanese embassy would not issues a second one unless CIC issues a letter requesting the second one. not sure what CIC is going to do.

Thanks!

Response provided by lettuce_tomatoes to one of the previous queries -

Try calling 888-217-4038

You will be asked for the following:
Your Full Name:
Date check was made:
Amount:
Cashier's check number: (on the top of check)
Account Number: (on the bottom of the cashier's check, generally starts with 001 for BOA)

The instructions below will help get desired results only if the Certified check/MO is drawn from Bank Of America. There must be a similar process for certified checks/MOs drawn from other banking/Financial institutions.

Hope this helps.

For anyone who completed medicals, if you have tracking number from Doctor's office, then you should track delivery to Ottawa. In case you don't have any tracking: when you get closer to 2 months after Doctor sent the results it will be good to email or fax your CIC office to inquire about medicals.

Dear Amigos,
I got my medicals done during Aug 20 around. The Doctor sent my medicals through normal post.

Now my question is how to track/know whether CIC Buffalo received my medicals and how to know whether my records got updated.

I am at the dark side of the tunnel. Any torch shown is highly appreciated.

Cheers n urs

Hi Manny,

Have you sent them a query yet ?

I had tracking number and was able to track it to Ottawa. A friend of mine did not have tracking # , and he sent email to CIC and got response.

Is there anyone who sent the application to CIC after June got AOR/Medical request?

Thanks.

DBat: your information is accurate. you can verify this information on Alberta Canada's official website:

August 23, 2010 -- "The AINP is currently not accepting applications under the AINP U.S. Visa Holder Category and the AINP Family Stream. Applications postmarked after August 23, 2010 will be returned. Applications postmarked on or before August 23, 2010 will be accepted for processing and will be processed according to AINP Processing Times and U.S. Visa Holder Category or Family Stream criteria. See the following News Release for further information."

To everyone who was helping me and thinking with me yesterday on why CIC is again asking me for my FBI Certificate, here is the reason why. Apparently, at the time of issuing the visa the FBI Certificate should not be more than a year old. And mine it seems is already older than a year even though at the time of the application it was valid; so much time has passed while waiting for processing that I am asked to resubmit it again. I am disappointed because this will mean that I am so close by not close enough yet and will have to wait an additional 12-14 weeks to get this certificate.

I will have to double check against my application package copy to verify this. I will let you all know later tonight.
