did anyone who did medicals in July get PPR request?

Dear Amigos,
I got my medicals done during Aug 20 around. The Doctor sent my medicals through normal post.

Now my question is how to track/know whether CIC Buffalo received my medicals and how to know whether my records got updated.

I am at the dark side of the tunnel. Any torch shown is highly appreciated.

The only way to make sure that you're medicals reached Ottawa is to get the tracking number from your doctor; if he sent it by normal post, you just need to assume it reached there safe and sound.

CIC does not update status immediately. The next time you see your status updated, is probably right around the time when you get your passport request. Right now, this time is about 3 months after your medicals, and getting longer.

Does your online status say... "Medical received by buffalo July 16th" wow...
Because for others this status showed up only after receipt of PPR......hopefully monday you'll have PPR...

Virgos , I apologize , Some clarification ....CIC status only says " We started processing your application on June 21, 2010. "
It does not show anything about medical ... As per the fedex tracking my medicals were received by them on July 16th

Not a PPR Request, but got an email from Detriot office today saying that they have started to review my application and they need an updated FBI certificate. The email also said my medicals are good through July 2011 and I should send the FBI Certificate asap.

My concern though is that, it takes 16-18 weeks to get a FBI Certificate (or at least 12 weeks). Has anyone else received the same request and is there a way around this than have to wait for 12 weeks to get the FBI certificate again?

Would appreciate your experiences.

Was ur fbi cert valid when u sent application to buffalo?
The only way to get new fbi cert is to wait for the 12-14 wks or whatever time its taking now a days.....

Yes, I did send my FBI certificate along with the application. And it was valid at the time. Hence the request for an 'Updated' FBI certificate.

My check encahsed on Sep 2nd for how many months it will take to process for acknowledging me from CIC..
