You will get AOR/Med Request in about 4 month after you sent your application so you should expect these to come to you by around same time next month how ever If you remember your cashier check # which you sent you can call your bank and find out if its encashed or not and also can get the file # from the image of the cashier check/MO.

I am also in the same boat. My time line is one month later than yours. My medicals reached Ottawa on Sep 2. I had to wait for a while to get my sons's medical form.
I have informed them the address change. Its up to you to do it. But the PPR is done by email. But still you have to send the passports right? So, you need your friends address in US. You can use them as your rep to send the passports for you. CIC wont send passports outside US. Couple of us are in the same situation. Please keep us in the loop.

Hey Procan! My medicals reached Ottawa September 2nd as well!!!!

Let's keep updated, I already got another mail from Buffalo asking for additional documents (they asked for an official translation of my birth certificate) I'm not in the country right now (on vacation in France!! ) so I can't get back to them so my case is gonna be delayed.

I'm thinking of waiting 5 weeks after medicals reach Ottawa to contact them. What do you think procan?

My situation is same. Medicals reached CIC beginning of Aug, waiting for PPR. I will be moving out of US in Oct and giving a friend's address here. I am concerned since people have reported getting their passports stuck in international customs (mailed from US to India). Does anyone have experience mailing Indian passport from India to US? Don't know if I will be able to find anyone to carry my passport

I think that the Indian passport and Indian passport-holder can not be in different countries. It is the law. It is illegal to send the passport internationally by post or by someone else .

Although, several people have tried that. And they got success.

It is something like - You don't commit a crime if you don't get caught.

Courier services can do whatever you want them to do. They are protected by their laws/privacy acts. If you get caught things will be miserable for you (and not for courier services).


Act wisely...

I think it is pretty much legal to send passport through someone else with authority letter..no big deal

2.Also I'm little concerned about any lost mail during my move although my sense says there wasn't any like ..doc request etc etc. after I had sent medicals.

Normally, document requests come within about 10 days after your AOR. So, you should be fine.

Hi V!
Yes, sure..I will update on my end.
Normaly, it takes 2 - 2 1/2 months for PPR after medicals are done.
So, send the doc they requested and sit tight until then.

Yes, I used the form they sent with AOR. Iam currently in Coimbatore, India.
I have to do either:
send with someone (ofcourse with authorization letter for rep me)
or
send by courier (risky?!)

but it all depends on whther any of my friends will travel in the meantime!!

if any body else have already experienced this siation please let us know.
