Anyone made query to La consulate regarding status, I made one on last thursday and one today, no response. :

I noticed that the LA consulate team is very efficient - small, but effective. Trust them to do their work and rest assured that repeated emails is not going to oil the squeaky wheel.
By checking on status you're not helping your case. Please take my advise, chill out and wait for your day.

Members of this forum, thanks for all your help. We landed in Calgary on Nov-4-2010.

I'm in a diffcult situation and need some help:

(1) We landed and provided a friend's address in Alberta.
(2) Today I called the CIC call center since our PR cards have not come.
(3) The CIC call center person said that the photos are not upto specification, they have moved the file to the local Calgary office.
(4) I will have to go into the office to take the photos again.

-- a. Has this photo issue happened to other people on the forum? How long does it take to resolve?
-- b. We returned to the US after the landing as we need to shut everything here and move. Now we don't have PR cards and cannot go back to the Calgary office as requested. Can we travel on our COPR thru Buffalo and then fly to Calagry? Have folks on this forum tried to enter Canada by car using just the COPR?

Please please let me know. Thanks!!
