Thanks. And they also request proof of full time employment? My H1b expired last month and I'm on F1 now. Do you think I should notify them now... ? Wonder what will happen if I can't provide it...

I submitted home country PCCs FBI along with the initial application in Feb. Now they need just the home country PCC alone no FBI.
They have given four months to obtain the documents.

I got IA from LA saying no need for a Personal Interview. But they need a fresh home country PCC and proof of full-time employment in the US.
Did your home country PCC expire within a couple of weeks of submitting your application? Did you travel to your home country after you obtained the PCC and informed CIC about your travel? I am just trying to see why they need the home PCC again, but not the FBI one.

If you do not mind, can you post the exact wording from the letter that asks for the proof of full-time employment in the US? Does it ask for a certain period in the past like when you applied for AINP or CIC OR the current period? I did not think it was necessary to have a full-time job after you get your nomination.

Proof of full-time employment in the U.S in the forms of letter of references, income tax returns, W-2 forms, pay stubs, etc.

hi folks,
I applied for cic on may 25th but on may 27th I received change of status approval notice to F1 status. I did inform alberta by writing an email. Do I need to inform CIC also about the change of status.
Also my cic application has been returned today. It ask for the proof of 1 year of legal residence in the country you reside. I didnt send a copy of my h1b I-797 while applying for CIC as it was never mentioned.
It says you must provide evidence that you are lawfully admitted to the USA for a period of atleast one year. and as a copy of acceptable documents it has asked for I-797 (for h1b status) or I-20 (for f1 status)

now should i send my old I-20 that proves I have been in USA lawfully for more than a year. or should I send my I-797 what to do?? please help

In my case at the time, I submitted my I-797 as proof that I have been lawfully admitted and worked here for at least a year. I believe you should still submit your I-797 and not the I-20 status.

Just my opinion.

Didn't you even send the passport copy? It should have stamps on it with arrival and departure dates?

This is something which doesn't makes sense. If you are here and you already gave them PCC in Jan then why do they think that you did remote crime in India by sitting in California??? Or they are not doing thier own Criminal check so they want you to provide them recent Indian PCC. Are you married? Do they think that your spouse was here and you went to India for two weeks in March for a robbery and came back because your spouse was here?

Can you please be specific on the time frame. Is there anything on, for what time period you should provide this proof ? Based on the documents they have specified it can be only for a past period.

I am just wondering if they will end up asking this from everyone who are still in USA and not left to home country while CIC application is being processed.

Anyway what do you intend to do :)

Thanks and appreciate your response.
