Can someone help me please - I applied for my mom's supervisa - she is in Canada but originally from JA. The application was approved and the passport requested, can I send the passport to a family member to drop it off at the VAC centre in JA or will my mother have to leave Canada and take the passport in?

Your mother. needed to be outside Canada to apply for the supervise. Did you indicate that she was currently in JA?

Hello lovely people of the community,

I applied for my parents Super visa and my mum as primary applicant. Here is the timeline

18-Apr: Application Submitted (medical upfront)
13-May: Biometric appointment in New Delhi, India.
14-May: Biometric confirmation email.
15-May: Medical passed for both and PPR for dad. No PPR email/message for mum.

Is it common for secondary applicants to receive PPR before primary? Can anyone tell if passports could simply be dropped off at VFS global New Delhi or do we need an appointment for that?

My parents both received PPR at the same time for their Super Visa. Give it a few days and if nothing, then send a web forum to the Visa Office asking for an update.

Every case is different, it may be possible that Secondary applicant receive PPR prior to Principal applicant.
There is no need to book an appointment for dropping the passport.
My advise would be to reach VFS as early as possible to drop the passport, as you will get the token number from there itself.
And being Summer time, means a lot of Tourist and/or Student as well as other applications.

Good Luck

Applied for supervisa for parents on May 02 with upfront medical. My biological mother passed away so I couldnt apply supervisa for my step mother.
So, Instead we requested a visitor visa for her and supervisa for my father. The biometrics were done on may 07 and they started reviewing eligibility for my mother on May 14. No updates regarding my father yet.

However, they did get a letter asking my father to go for additional tests, he had a high BP reading on the day of the medical and the DMP took additional test(EKG, ETC.) on the same day. When we called the doctor's office, he advised us that my father did not have to visit him, he already took the tests.
Waiting for updates or more information from CIC.

On the PPR for my dad they mentioned that "We cannot issue visa beyond the expiry date on passport" Does it imply my dad will get a 5 year Multiple entry visa instead of the usual 10? since his passport expires in 5 years.
P.S - US B1/B2 Visa guidelines say that visa is valid even after passport expires so 10 year M entry is valid even on older cancelled passport.

Thanks. How do I raise a web form? Is it a link inside the online application?

Hey,

No where it is mentioned that Return Ticket is required.
However, you may put up a return ticket.
