Hello guys,

Please advise.

I am planning to apply for my mother's supervise. She visited Canada in March 2018 on regular TRV which allowed her to stay for 6months. She went back to home country in Aug 2018. I was wondering if having a TRV already going to affect my mom's supervise application.

Thank you !

Heyy,

My mother had similar situation, as had Visitor visa applied last year and travelled on the same for 4 months this year. Her Supervisa application was approved this year without any questions on having had Visitor visa already.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Hi Guys,

I wish to check if anybody's parent/parents have arrived on Supervisa recently and can share what's the arriving experience is like with CBSA and documents to carry etc?

So far, What I have gathered is that Parent/Parents need to Carry Medical Insurance(1 Year) Copy, Invitation Letter Copy with them at the time of arrival.
If the visit is of a year/more than a year then arranging a RETURN Ticket is not possible as no airlines seem allowing buying tickets so much far in future.
Upon arrival, CBSA officer may ask the place to stay during the visit and who you are visiting and duration of the the visit; things that usually Invitation Letter content mentions already.

Any arriving experience shared here will help greatly. Thank you.

Hi Gurus,
in the house. I have a question and need ur advanced experience. I am just about applying for a super visa for my mum and I have created the online account. It generated a checklist for us, but the checklist does not request for medical insurance. Does this mean not eligible for super visa? Did any of ur online checklist generate medical insurance request?

Thanks in advance for ur helps.

Go to this address. it has everything you need to know: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...arent-grandparent-super-visa/eligibility.html

Go ahead and go through the pages and it will direct you to create an account as well as prepare the necessary documents for the supervisa.

this is the first thing you will need to do. once done, it will outline exactly what you need to prepare your application which differs based on where you live and the visa office you are applying to.

yes you can apply online.

yes the docs can be scanned and attached (towards the end of processing of your application, the visa office will request a passport. this would be the only original document that would be requested during the application).

you do not need to send the invitation letter to your parents. it is you who needs to write it on their behalf.

regarding the medical, again, it will depend on your parents country and visa office. regardless, you will be required to purchase medical insurance to submit as part of your package. i would suggest that be the last thing that you do before submitting the application.

For this visa, you have to provide proof that you meet the minimum financial cut off requirement, which you will see as you complete the form in the link i provided above.

Good luck to you.

Well, they don't specifically ask for bank statement, however, they do require a written and signed promise of financial support (in addition to the LICO requirement), and hence, to support my signed promise of financial support - I attached bank statements for them to prove that I have sufficient savings to support them once they arrive. If you've provided them with signed promise letter, hopefully they wouldn't ask for bank statement if they see that your annual salary is much higher than the LICO amount.
Hello please in your invitation letter what was the duration of their stay. Plus what ties did they have to home country

Im planning to apply supervisa for my parents. Theyre both senior citizens and dont have any travel history. Is there any chance of approval?
They both have land properties and not much cash in bank.
