@Bryanna Hi there, I am gathering documents to submit for my mother's supervisa application to invite her for my wedding. I will be responsible for all expenses. She has no property in the Philippines, and a mere amount of money in the bank. In your previous experience gathering information from this site, what kind of documents would you recommend for her to have? Do you think she should still submit a letter from the bank stating how much savings she has? On my end I have:
1) letter of invitation, 2) NOA, 3)T4, 4)Letter of employment, 5)Birth certificate, 6)copy of Canadian citizenship and passport, 7)wedding invitation, 8)medical insurance for 1yr, 9)signed letter of financial support
on her end she will have the medical report upfront.

Thanks in advance for your help.

She can include a bank statement (not bank certificate) + evidence of any other ties to the Philippines (dependent family members)

@Bryanna thanks for your prompt response. May I ask why not a bank certificate?
IRCC would like to see details of transactions over a period of time (4-6 months at minimum).... and not just the bank balance because someone else could have transferred the funds at the last-minute just for the visa application

Hello everyone, for the docs below, do we need to print and sign for Online Application?
  • IMM 5645E - Family Information (parents signature)
  • IMM 5476E - Use of Representative (me and parents signature)
Or can I submit them blank like IMM 5257E where the online form will do the electronic signature for me.

It's perfectly normal. Different applications could take different processing time.

Once medicals are passed, they can hope to expect passport requests. Your mom might get a passport request before your dad

Okay, thanks for your reply. Hope dad's medical also goes to pass status soon. I am just bit concerned that background status is in progress since we lodged the application for both mom and dad. Is it normal? Do they even do background processing for Super Visa?

Hi

I am in kind of in a complex situation and really appreciate your comments/suggestion:

Super Visa applied for my Parent: October 02, 2018
Medical Request: October 04, 2018
Mother passed the medical: October 11, 2018
Father's status as of now: Your Action is Required (After complying 4 medical information request; last report was sent to CIC on March 07, 2019)

I have noticed "Your application/profile is updated" two time in ECAS (eventually no changes and those vanished after I clicked on) on March 14 and March 19. I wrote to CIC for an update and they said, one officer has reviewed the application and medical assessments are being completed. They will let us know once the assessments are completed.

Could you please advise should I go for web form? or if there is any advise from you guys from your experience/knowledge.

Thanks
SHSajib

1. Did your dad go through tests ie medical furtherance?

2. What's the status of his background checks?

Thanks Bryanna for getting on to this promptly.

1. My dad went through all the test as instructed in Furtherance Medical Request. PP certifies those results as okay and sent to CIC.

2. It's showing that they are processing the background check.

Please let me know if you need any further info.

She would know what the panel physician's concerns are depending on the tests she takes. Hope these are not TB tests
Hi Bryanna,

Guess what? To rule out TB. They ordered Ultrasound of her chest because they saw abnormality in her regular chest X-ray result. She went there yesterday and the Pulmonologist confirm hearing an abnormal sound in her lungs.

I asked to have the Pulmonologist rule out TB but if its anything else, I ask him not to write in the e-medical. I hope he will listen.

If by any chance those tests were for TB then it would take at least 2-3 months after the initial tests for IRCC to confirm that the reports are clear. That could be one reason for the delay.

2. It's showing that they are processing the background check.
This is typically another reason why processing takes longer. There's nothing you can do to expedite these background checks
