Online TRV: The definition of frustration!!

I just had to comment on the deplorable and cumbersome nature of the online Canadian TRV application.
Being an F1 Student Visa holder in the US, I just completed an online application for the purpose of renewing
my visa in Canada. The way information is presented on their website is just a mess- very confusing
and at times conflicting. I don`t understand the rationale behind claiming to have an online application
process that requires an applicant to complete the form online, print, sign, scan, then upload. Shouldn`t the
point of applying online be to eliminate all these in the first place?
I submitted my application today, and unfortunately didn`t sign my forms before uploading. I already know my
application will be denied. My frustration is heightened by the fact that I already booked an appointment at the US
embassy in Ottawa and made hotel reservations in anticipation of obtaining a visa. Unfortunately, all that money just
went down the drain.
My advice: Send in a paper application or just apply in person. The online process sucks!!

No. It's to avoid having to "mail" them all in from whichever country you are in. For many that is from far away places. Even business contracts emailed back and forth still must be signed, initialed, etc. AND scanned in order to do so.
