As of June 6, 2023 ALL applications to renew a PR Card MUST include at least 2 pieces of `evidence'.If you read it carefully after the first sentence it says please refer to Appendix A of the instruction guide for documents required and if you read the instruction guide which is on their websites it says to submit a residency obligation proof irrespective of the number of days you've lived in Canada.... It's a bit of a grey area because of the way they've structured the Sentence in the checklist document buti've researched other forums and most people have advised adding a document as proof.
I suggest that one of those is banking statements (only a couple) showing `active' activity in the area where the PR is residing. Examples woud be local ATM activity, restaurants, local merchants, etc., versus shopping online, or a recurring membership. This helps to prove that the PR is in fact where they say they are, as shown in the Travel History section of the application.
