Online citizenship test

Those who have received an online Test request does your eCAS status shows that you've been sent an online Test invitation? Mine still shows the earlier test invitation received in Nov 2019, which I could not attend.

Mine still says In Process as of January 22, 2020 but I wrote my test January 2, 2021. I have no update in a year.

For those who attended online test, do you need a valid passport as ID? My passport is expiring. Thank you.

If I recall correctly it was a valid drivers license or PR card (even if expired). There was no mention of using a passport as the ID.

Is there anyone whose test got cancelled in Mar 2020 and still not invited? It is frustrating and intolerable. I submitted a web form last week and got no replay either.

Nope, been spinning now for the last almost year; cancelled March 15th, 2020 and likely will be until this March (Or, god forbid, March 2022) before I feel like I'll get a response. I understand they have to assess the efficacy of the online testing, but I'm also getting very antsy waiting for my turn to get called. I've read it's even worse in Quebec, unfortunately.

Has any one experienced the same issue before starting the examination. Please let me know .

Well, I haven't got the test invite so I can't really try and initiate online test for myself. But about HTTP 403 error :

The HTTP 403 is a HTTP status code meaning access to the requested resource is forbidden. The server understood the request, but will not fulfill it due to client-related issues

You might want to follow instructions on the IRCC website :

If you can’t solve your issues with the tips above

• contact IRCC.CitOnlineTest-TestenligneCit.IRCC@cic.gc.ca for issues with accessing the test (beforeyou start), such as
  • signing in
  • webcam and photos
  • test link issues

You might want to send an e-mail to that lengthy e-mail ID and give them all the information related to the error. They'll (hopefully) look into it.

My citizenship test was cancelled in March 2020 and I'm still waiting for an online test invite. Apparently, the only people who are being invited to take an online test are 2018 applicants and those who qualify for emergency processing. I could be wrong, although that's my educated understanding.

I'm an October 2019 applicant and my case was not urgent. I wrote my test on January 2.

Congratulations! You may just be one of the lucky ones as there are many, many people who applied during the same period of time and are still waiting for an invite.
