My PR card expired as well. I was planning on renewing until I got email asking us to take test so I figured they started to process our application.

Please note you can leave Canada check CIC website for more info.
This what happened with me by the way. I was going to renew my PR card earlier, but when I received the test, I thought I would get my passport during the time I would have needed to renew my PR. It was a big mistake. 3 months since I finished my test, and I will probably need another 7 months to get my oath based on their progress. I would suggest you to go ahead and renew your PR card if you think you might travel any time soon. Even if you don't have plans, I would still suggest to renew it. It cost $50 and mailing fees.

How can I leave Canada with no PR? Applying for PRTD outside Canada would make things difficult, especially with what is going on with covid-19 around the world. It takes time to be issued. So far, I am not eligible for urgent processing, because they require you to have an urgent reason to leave with a proof.

Ok
I checked on the The Citizenship Application Tracker and the citizenship test shows Completed. Status updated as of July 26.
I completed the citizenship test on July 23.
Background check also shows completed. The rest are in progress.

Hey guys.

I completed my test on June 21-st. On June 25, there was an update of my results (the test became completed). Later, on July 6 the profile was updated (according to the website), but nothing changed.
There was a person, who said that she/he got "decision made" in two weeks after that. Well, unfortunately, it's been three weeks and nothing had changed so far. Has anyone faced the same issue?

(I am an Oct 2019 applicant)

Hi everyone,

I thought I would make a thread for anyone who is in the same situation as me so that we can share/compare our experiences/next steps.

I received an invite on November 27, 2020 to take the online citizenship test between December 1, 2020 and December 21, 2020. I passed the test on December 3rd and am now waiting for what happens next. Please kindly let me know if you are in the same situation and if you have received any next steps toward an eventual oath ceremony.

Cheers,
Phil

I took the test on March 12th 2021 and haven't heard anything back - not even the results being accepted. Everything in my Citizenship Application Tracker says Completed. It's been so long and I don't know what to do!

The timeline is not the same for everyone. It differs greatly even between applicants from the same office.

Assume it'll take 3 - 5 months for oath after the test (it could happen sooner though).

I am sorry, but you said you haven't heard back from them if your test results were accepted, but you are saying everything in your tracker is marked "completed". I am confused here. Have you checked ecas and what's your application's status there? I suspect it's DM, but the test part is not aligned with this conclusion.

When did you give your test? Sorry for so many questions, I’m just trying to get an estimate for my travel plans
I don't think these timelines given by different individuals should determine your travel plans as from what I see, the time ranges from weeks to months. I would hold off on buying tickets until I have solid info on my specific case...just my 2 cents.

Look at the test invite sender's mail address/name - it should say something like DN CIT MIS Scheduling or DN CIT SCR Scheduling.... that MIS or SCR indicates the office...
ok cool...thanks for sharing...i didn't realize that was an indication of the office....gonna check mine now.

I have a question: Someone pointed out that tests that are marked completed in the new tracker doesn't necessarily means you passed the test, and you may do it again. Is this true? I did my test about 3 months ago, and it was marked completed a week later. Should I be concerned that they may ask me to do it again since I have no updates since then?

Was it remained In Progress for 1 week before it converted to Complete? When did Waiting on you disappear after you have given test?

Yes, it remained in progress for one week before it was updated to completed. Is this a good sign, or it may still mean I didn't pass the test?
