Need some clarifications please.
We completed our tests in Feb'21 & still waiting for our Oath invitation.
Question is, it is only the parents who should take oath online interview or we also should bring our kids to them?

Kids (minor) are not required to take the Oath, but when you receive details it should specify.

What does your online tracker say, is everything complete except the Oath section? Also what is your AOR month and year?

Looks like there is a big backlog now being created at all stages including the test completed stage and people are waiting for several months now for next steps after completing tests.

Thanks for quick reply.
My Online tracker says every thing is Completed status except the 'Citizenship Ceremony' in 'Not Started'.
My wife's Online tracker says 'Citizenship status' 'Completed' and 'Background verification' 'completed' and 'Language skills', 'physical presence', 'Prohibitions' in 'In Progress' and 'citizenship ceremony' 'Not Started'
what is AOR?

what is AOR?

AOR is “Acknowledgement of Receipt. Acknowledgment of Receipt or AOR in Canada is an official letter from IRCC. It marks the date IRCC has received your application.

One clarification needed. can the parents alone go for oath ceremony (if 16 years old not interested or whatever reason) on his behalf or it is mandatory to take 16 years old child with us for ceremony?

The 16 year old needs to be present at the ceremony and take oath if s/he is interested in becoming a Canadian citizen.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...nuals/canadian-citizenship/ceremony/oath.html

Taking the Oath of Citizenship is the final legal requirement that grant applicants who are 14 years of age or older must meet in order to become Canadian citizens.

Oh ok. thanks
BTW, does the oath ceremony usually happen along with other families or each family will be invited individual ceremony online?

Usually, the entire family gets the invite together. Sometimes, when this is not possible, there might be separate ceremonies.

Does the office that sends the test invite is likely the office processing the application? If Hamilton or Niagra falls is office closer to me and mississauga sends the test email that means my file is in Mississauga?

While I know I can call or order GCMS notes to find out curious though if the test email confirms the location though.

Yes, it is likely that your file is currently in the location from where you received the test invitation.

However, calling IRCC and the GCMS notes will provide you with a definite answer.

I and my wife received our notice to appear for the test on the same day. I wrote my test on 2nd April and my wife wrote it on 3rd April. However only she received the notice to appear for an interview email which she gave on 5th May. I didn't receive my interview email at all and am still waiting. I always thought that a family's case is processed together. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Not everyone gets an interview. If you didn't get an interview, you might move to the next step - "Decision Made" on ECAS and then oath.

Just be on the lookout though, there is still a chance you might receive the email on a later date (be sure to monitor spam folder everyday).
