Guys..

Did anyone receive a call for interview from the Mississauga office for scheduling interview and document requests recently ?

What stage are you now?

Mississauga office has been quiet recently , I've been desperately waiting for my wife's oath invite since her DM in early March.

It appears that they are handing out whole bunch of tests, but in terms of oath I have no idea what they are doing.

When passing the online test, does this mean the other matters are also completed such as knowledge, security, background check etc.?

Did any one got Oath invite from Mississauga Office recently ?
Don't know their plan about the oath ceremonies , hearing about test invites from them but havn't heard about any Oath invitation from this office since start of March.
If anyone has any news about oaths from this office please do share.

I was asking for my wife as she received a call for an interview today from a 905 number.(Did any other Mississauga office applicants get a call from this number. Asking as its a Brampton area code). She was not sure if the call was genuine or a scam. The person on the call had her details, making it more authentic. The agent mentioned that she would send an email to submit scans of passport pages for the interview along with the signed consent form to use MS Teams for the interview.
My question is that how long does it take for the email to reach you ??

Hey. I took the test Yesterday but it only asked me to take a picture of my ID and myself. Not the PR card. Just wondering were you asked to take a pic or your PR, ID and yourself?

It says in the instructions in the email to use a piece of ID (ideally) your PR card (even if it's expired) otherwise something with your signature such as drivers license or passport.

Hey everyone,

I received few days ago the invitation to take my Canadian citizenship exam (I sent my citizenship application in January 2020, around the 20th).

However, I moved to the US 2 month ago and I have just started a job there.

Here I have three solutions :

- Take a plane from NYC to Montréal and take the exam while I am in the hotel for the quarantine. But instead of going to finish my quarantine at home, I would fly back to the US. Would it be possible?

- Stay longer if my job allows me to do so.

- Postpone the Canadian citizenship exam. But in this case, until what time can I postpone it? I mean, my PR card expires in march 2022... If I decide to come back to Canada in 1 year, can I still take the exam?

Has someone have another idea?

I don't want to give up the Canadian citizenship. My wife is Canadian, I have been married in Canada and I have lived 10 years in Canada...

Thank you so much!

Is there any further correspondence once you pass the test?

The non-official result email stated it wouldn't be the official result as of yet.

This is Ottawa office, and probably a non-routine application as I received CIT 0520 4 months prior to the test invitation.

There is no official e-mail or status update in ECAS for the test taken. Next step would be either interview (if required) or FP request if haven't expired. If FP still valid, they may go straight to "Decision Made" status in ECAS which means that only oath is outstanding.

Hello people. For those of you who have already gone through the citizenship interview, are they asking to show physical copies of IELTS and the photo taken for the application? I can't seem to find the physical copies.

UPDATE: I found my IELTS and the photo.

However do I need to print the application form, the physical presence form and the application fee receipt? The request is unclear about it.

Hi guys I got my interview for end of next month.I did my test this Sunday.

my expired passport is not with me here do I have to have that with me during interview and secondly my driving license change from Ontario to Alberta as I moved here. When I changed my driving license to Alberta they took my Ontario G license and give class 5 Alberta license. My current passport is still valid for 3 more years.
they may or may not aske for it...the letter specifies that you have to have all the submitting documents with you because the can be requested...don't risk to fail the interview because of that.

Without interview request maybe 1~2 weeks. With interview request then that DM will be after the interview is done.
