Hello :D me again,

I was just wondering if someone has a family application like me.
I did my citizenship test on March 04-2022 and its marked now as completed in my tracker.
My husband and son did it on March 05-2022 and nothing changed in their online tracker.

I'm just wondering if theirs get later processed or why nothing is changing in their tracker. I always thought as a family the same officer is working on the file.

I'm just curious if their status will change as well.

And I didn't get anything in writing (email) that I passed the Test (was only updated as completed in the tracker).

Language skills- In progress
Physical presence- In progress
Prohibitions - In progress
Citizenship ceremony - Not started.

So I assume all of this has to be checked as completed before the citizenship is done.

I have the feeling this is a never ending story with the Citizenship :).
Anyways I would appreciate if someone could share their experience on the family application.

Thank you
Clauds
3 adults in my family took the test on different dates of the same week and we all had Citizenship Test marked "Completed" 2 days after the respective tests. Roughly 3 weeks after that, on the same day, all of us got "Completed" for Language skills, Physical presence and Prohibitions. I believe family applications are reviewed by the same officer. There is no official email telling you about the official test results, only the unofficial one immediately after the test if you click to send an email about your result.

Hello,

also I'm confused because I send my Application (paper)to:
CPC-Sydney -grant-
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2

But my Citizenship test invites came from Edmonton, AB. (We live only 450 km away from there).

So does that mean they transferred our Paperwork from Novo Scotia to Edmonton?

Do they process now the paperwork in Edmonton? It's so confusing.

Thanks for any input on my questions.

Clauds
Sydney is main reception office for most of the process. (Permanent Residence & Citizenship)
where do you live? AB I read, so,,, the transfered your file to the closest office for continuing the process.
not being confusing,,, it could transfer to a less busy office...

good luck

Did test March 14Th, is market as completed on the tracker 3 days after (17th). That means I passed?
Nothing else is market as completed except BV(that has been completed since august)
I believe so. In my case, all items except "Citizenship Ceremony" were marked "Completed" 3 weeks after I got "Completed" on Citizenship Test. I think the status of each item on the tracker depends on the individual applicant. Like in your case you got "Completed" for Background Veritification way before the test. I only had it marked "Completed" 3 weeks after the test together with other items.

how was your score?
the question is, the temporary score was acepted?
Why the color change to green? we dont know.
I guess an e-mail would be sent if the score is not acepted.

good luck

in canada good news arrive late,,, bad news arrive really fast

Update: citizenship test has been changed to completed on 3/22, woohoo!
In progress still: language skills, physical presence, prohibitions. Almost there hopefully!
Awesome. We have the same status. Mine just got updated Mar 22, except for my husband though

Where exactly in the test invite did you find the location of the processing office? I don't see any address in my invite and assume it came from NS where I originally sent the application to.
If you look at the email address they send the invite it tells you. Mine was CIC-Edmonton-Citizenship

I feel this isn’t fully accurate. From reading posts here, there are people who applied well after this date and have moved through the entire process. So not sure how accurate this is. If it is, we’ve got a long wait to go (ours was received feb of 2021).

It's not accurate. They received my application Sept 2019. IRCC is definately not first come first serve. I know people who applied for citizenship June 2021 and they have their citizenship and passport in hand. That's right, 9 months. I have been waiting 3 years.

There is nothing wrong with my file. Very easy straight-forward file. I came here from USA , married my husband and became PR in 2015. I applied for citizenship 2019. I never spent time out of the country. Very easy simple case. Even when I call IRCC , the agents are so confused as to why my application is so slow.

The processing times on IRCC's website are not valid. The time frames are not being met, where is the accountability?

How come 2021 applications are rapid fast. There is no excuse for this.

Covid......Afghanistan........Truckers...........Now Ukraine. IRCC is just using every excuse they can. While I sympathize with the situations around the world, and understand they are very important issues. In that case, they should not be doing any applications then. Why only focusing on 2021 applications ? Why ?

In one of the articles below, I believe the last one, there is a video with an immigraiton lawyer talking to CTV news, she says that for some reason IRCC is mainly working on 2021 applications, and not working very hard on the older ones. I have no idea why they would do this.

This is affecting me mentally 100%. Delays are ok if they are reasonable. These are not reasonable delays. 3 Years is not reasonable when they are writing on their website that the current wait time is up to 12 months.

My PR is now expired , I feel that if I renew it, it will give them an even bigger excuse to delay my application even more. I will just have to wait this out, it looks like it may take many many more years. According to the below articles, there are even people waiting since 2017/2018. I just don't know what to say.
