Sa August 31 pa po ang flight ko via PAL Gusto ko sana ng earlier pero di ko pa masabi kasi mag-memed exam pa lang ako bukas haha sana hindi ako bagyuhin! buti na lang ang September 3 pa ang orientation, I don't have much to worry about since I'll be living in my sister's apartment and I have everything I need Aasikasuhin ko na lang ang bank account, cellphone, and IDs after Labor Day hehe

@ msladybug: I would suggest trying to canvass flights during off-peak hours. Nagbabago po talaga ang price ) Like ngayon, nagiging USD 1,078 ang PAL flight compared to USD 1,700 during morning hours haha!

China Airlines is the flag carrier of Taiwan (despite the name haha) via Taipei po ang flight, while Mainland China po ang China Southern via Guangzhou Ang main difference is po is mas maikli ang travel time with China Airlines compared to EVA and China Southern Halos same travel time ang China Airlines with Cathay na via Hong Kong, pero pinaka mura talaga China Airlines.

Kung gusto niyo po, i-try niyo na lang rin magpaquote with a travel agent. Minsan mas mura talaga kung through them vs. web fares but it mostly depends which airline and what date

Hello.. I don't know if you still have time checking this forum. I am applying for a study permit for Canada. Last update on my online application was Jan. 13 pa saying Medical - PASSED. Waiting game ako. I applied online Dec. 16, 2014. Received the Med. Request the following day and had the test Dec. 22.
My concern for now is reserving tickets. My sponsor advises me to reserve flights on the expected dates that my visa will be released. May I ask po how to do it? How did you do yours? Through travel agents po ba or you did it yourself online? Tried the help of travel agents, reserved Manila-HK-Vancouver-Saskatoon flights through Cathay Pacific and Air Canada for Feb. 21 2015. Costs $1670. Mahal.. How else can I look for cheaper flights. Any advice po sa mga airlines na pwede? Saskatoon, Saskatchewan po destination ko..

Received an email from CIC saying there is an update in my application. Got real nervous since last update from them was Jan. 13 saying review of medical results - passed. Been so anxious while waiting for the next update. Checked myCIC and found no change in my application status Well at least not a total turn down. Been so pessimistic for a while now. Reading through forums made me aware that many were denied when in fact they are more financially capable than me. Hai... Still praying for an approval..

May I ask? How do we learn that our application is being denied? Will CIC send an email telling the sad news or an email telling us to check our myCIC for a message or an update? Thank you.

saan ka po nagpa medical? ako Im still waiting for the SLEC to send my medical result to CEM, actually 7 to 10 days pa raw ma ifoforward. and kailan po na forward yung medicals mo sa CEM? dont worry many people here said na 80% chances daw na ma aapprove yung visa if may medical request daw, I dont know kung totoo to pero sana nga totoo ) please keep me updated po ah ? ) pray lang and believe na magkaka visa ka din po tayo.

same po tayo, I have submitted my application last january 22, 2015 at exactly 11PM and after 8 hours they have send me my MR. so sana talga before they ask for our medical sana na evaluate na nila agad para hindi din masayang yung nagastos and also para di na din tayo kabahan hehe

anyways I'm going to study at bow valley college po in alberta yung kukunin ko po is diploma program in disability studies ikaw po?

sana nga po bukas may update na sa medical ko sobrang kinakabahan na ako pero panatag ako na maggrant ako ng visa kasi okay naman lahat ng documents na binigay ko sakanila. anyways, my father is my sponsor po and nag provide din ako ng letter (from a friend) nung mag pprovide nang accomodation ko for the first few month ko sa Canada

kayo po sino sponsor mo po? and wala padin ba update? sabi nila pag matagal daw yung response ng CEM after they have received your medicals ibig sabihin daw nun approval na pero sana nga totoo

Kaw talaga, ang dami mung alam.. Pero logically dapat talaga pag.idideny nila dapat agad-agad na para ma.end na ang agony ng applicant.. As for me I cant help but doubt my chances at times kasi ang tangi kung proof of financial proof eh ang financial support from a research center.. I'll be studying as a graduate research assistant (GRA). Parang trabaho at the same time aral.. My compensation for working ang pang-aral ko.. No more no less.. No bank account statements, no properties na proof submitted.. Kaya, ewan ko.. Choosing to believe lang..

wow, Univ of Sask ka. I submit my initial application and fortunately consider for scholarship pero I didnt submit my final documents because they want me to take thesis based. Nagdalawang isip ako kasi baka mahirapan ako at tumagal ako. Sept intake ka, right? ang bilis nila magreply at very accomodating you mga prog coor nila.

Kumusta na sa mga naghihintay at sa mga nasa Canada na? My GF (common-law kami) & I are preparing the necessary documents, we already have the Acceptance Letter from Keyano College Fort McMurray, Alberta. We'll apply for her study permit & my work permit at the same time. Hopefully, our application (online) will make it for Sept. 2015 intake.

Will provide timeline soon.

Any tips/advises for Study & Open Work Permit for common-law applicants will be very much appreciated.

Eto sobrang taas na ng anxiety k, everyday ako nag ccheck ng cic account ko and nag hihintay ng next update from the, sana PPR na next request nila para makatulog na ako ng maayos hehe.

Anyways goodluck sa application mo/niyo ng partner mo. Unahin mo ang pag gawa ng SOP niya, kasi dun nag babase ang VO sa decisions nila. Goodluck to us and Godbless
