Hi i was wondering can my son who is a permanent resident of canada go study outside canada for 5-6 years? without canceling his permanent resident card? he has corrently stayed here for more than 2 years but when he renew his card he wont be?? is thier any permission or somethign?

No, he can not. A permanent resident needs to stay in Canada at least 2 years in any 5 year period. That means that as soon as he's been outside Canada for 3 years, his PR is gone. The only exception is if he is considered a dependent child and is staying in another country with a parent who is a Canadian citizen.

Unless you miraculously had your citizenship ceremony in the last 2 days, you are not a citizen yet but in the event that you do become a citizen and your son doesn't, then you can protect his PR by joining him where he is as long as he is under 22. You can see this at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5445E.PDF page 23.

However, if your son is considering living in Canada in the future, he should really consider going to college in Canada as well. Having Canadian education will make it a lot easier for him to get a job in Canada.
