Once you land after getting PR, do you have to stay?

I read in some old forums that you could have card mailed to friend's address and then let them forward it to you.

Someone however told me that now you have to be physically there for 2 months waiting for the card. I wanted to see if anyone can verify this?

Yes - you can have a friend mail/courier the card to you outside of Canada. No - there is no rule stating you must remain in Canada for two months after landing.
