On the wired track!?!? Delayed decision!?!?!? HELP

My Canadian husband and I, Japanese, filed the document for family class on August 18th as oversea.

It seems that those who sent the documents out in August heard from CIC in October...now even some who sent the documents in December got approval. We haven't heard from CIC anything yet...Is it possible to happen? Is there anyone who is still waiting for the first step approved?

My husband says that he's never missed any email...but I'm wondering if this is normal. Please let me know if there is anybody who is in a same situation.

Ask your husband to contact CIC as its over the processing time for stage one. You need to make sure they even received your application. It's also possible they sent an email to a typoed email.

Definitely call - any application received before the date on the website (31st October last time I checked) should be either approved, or at least you should have gotten some news from CIC that they have your application and there is a form missing etc...
Hopefully you have been approved but the email went to the spam folder, or the letter they sent you got lost on the way, and your file is already transferred to Manilla.

I'd call them as well. My boyfriend is sponsoring me as his common law spouse and we never received an email or a letter in the mail saying that we got our stage one approval. I had to call to find out he had been approved and that our file had been transferred.

Thank you so much. We called and we were approved and our documents were transfered to CPP-Ottawa.

It seems that CPP-O is slow processing...but oh-well. At least we passed the first stage.

well that's good! great to know that you have been approved, and even if you didn't know about it, your file has been already sitting in Ottawa for a while waiting for review - so hopefully the wait will feel a little shorter!
CPP-O is still struggling to find a pace and there are not much information available about the average processing time as they are handling applications from different places... so hopefully you'll be done fast!
