Yes I did. My application has been forwarded to CPC-Ottawa.
How much time (approximately) should I presume for the next processing?

Come join us in the October 2015 Outland thread I thought I saw you in there before, add yourself on our new and improved spreadsheet as well as sharing your good news and experiences with the team - lots of movement and happy folks in that thread - like a big family !!

And to answer your question you would see any movement for a while after its been transferred to visa office

Hello,

How long does CPP-OTTAWA usually take to change status to Decision Made after it changes to In Process?

"We received your application for permanent residence on October 8, 2015.
We started processing your application on December 16, 2015."

This is a spousal sponsorhip for US outland. SA done, now on the 2nd stage and status changed to In Process on Dec 16th. So I am trying to figure out how long it'll take from there to Decision Made.

thank you!

I think back in the old days this meant that you were a month out. However, things have changed. They are changing it to "in process" months before, sometimes many months before, a DM. The newest trend I see personally is that unless there are things missing from your application, getting a batch EMail means you're getting close to a DM - like a month or so.

If you have a complete application and you get the batch EMail, then IMO you are close. I didn't have the complete application because of waiting on FBI Clearance, so I am stuck behind everyone else who got my batch EMail.

The EMail you'll recognize it when you see it. It asks for 4 things. If anything has changed in your family (births for example), if you can send additional proof your spouse resides in Canada, to send police certificate if you haven't already, and to pay the PR fee if you haven't already. Everyone gets the same letter except for the difference being your own name / address / etc.

Thanks JamesinCanada. The email does actually talk about the 4 things and the medical, police certificates, fee etc all have been submitted upfront. I hope it's that quick.

good day eagle333,

is it normal that spouse's information are omitted in the GCMS request? My spouse's GCMS information were somehow erased from the GCMS i requested. However, I am still sure that her GCMS assessments are okay.

it said protected b

client details, and the rest of my spouse's detail reports were taken out.

on one of the notes. they said email received and sent to CIO registry for further action/review. and an advise stating that it would be forwarded to PS.

what does PS stand for?
do you have any idea, based on previous applicant experiences, when will this review be done to merit request of R117(9)(d)
what is FOSS check?
under CRIMINALITY it is stated that PA is no traceable record. but since CL details were hidden. the last part on the notes states that criminality decision taken. _what does it signify?

Thank you eagle333 for spending time checking and clarifying my inquiries... greatly appreciate it.

1. PS stand for Pre-Screening in other word Initial Review
2. Yes I have experience on previous application because my own wife went through the same thing.
As you know R117(9)(d) concerns excluded relationship. Was your wife refused before? mine got R117(9)(c) but she is here with me now.
FOSS check means that CIC checked to see if PA had an history inside of Canada since FOOS Note is the opposite of GCMS. FOOS NOTES are for the people who applying PR from inside Canada wile GCMS is for the outsiders.
What is your eligibility status for now?

Hi Eagle,..
My wife had her interview today
officer asked her too many questions about our marriage and wedding and why we didn’t do party for wedding as is something important according to our culture ,,,my wife answered because i was in vacation and there was no more time to book for the party so we did it in my wife’s dad house
we submitted ALL the pictures for the engagement and wedding and other questions regarding my work , salary , nature of work , etc ... my wife knows everything about me but there was couple questions she didn’t know .....I am very worried !!!!
FYI.. as I said before she had too many proofs of our marriage like ..phone/photos/tax return /money transfer....

At the end the officer told her ok , leave your phone number and we will call you for the decision
I do not know is it a good sign or not ?????

I’ve seen in other threads that if there was refusal the officer tells the applicant right away that she is not comfortable for the genuineness of the marriage , or not necessirly ???

Good Day michel2603,

When file arrive at the visa office, an officer will check the file for completion meaning that you signed all the forms which will be saved on your e-file, check if the payment is also completed, check if the sponsor is approved and file number has been already created by CPC-M. That officer will also make sure IMM0008 hard copy was part of your paper file since the rest of the forms will stayed at CPC-M but saved up on your GCMS. He will not go through to see what documents is missing for your relationship to be true that is the job of the lead officer who will work on your entire case. Check my new thread about these terms "lead officer". Most of the time when the officer who receives your files don't send out AOR2. Please read the last paragraph of my new thread, go at the very bottom of it you will read something there which will explain more stuff.

The person who will initiate your background check is the lead officer not the receiving officer.
