OINP x Express Entry Profile

I applied to OINP through the International Student Stream with FTE Job Offer and I was invited in March 24.
1. Do I need to have a Express Entry profile?
2. My application is stucked on Decision in Process since May 24 and my PGWP is valid until November 2nd. What can I do to speed up the process?
3. Is there other solution to request an extension of work permit?

2. No way to expedite but contact OINP.
3. Ask Ontario to sign on to federal program to allow provinces to give support letters for those with expiring work permits and who are a provincial candidate.

Another question: do I need to request a Visitor Record or a Temporary Work Visa together?

when i spoke, they said they are yet to decide on what basis they gonna issue the letter.

Also, the work permit is being given by IRCC and moreover, letting people to continue with their job is good thing to tackle the unemployment rate isnt it?

Only BC and Manitoba are on the participating provinces list.

Yeah... unfortunately just Manitoba and Alberta. But, of course I requested to Ontario send me a letter. Who knows I can be the lucky person. Thank you!

when is your permit expiring?
if you are working and your EOI is already in there, it will be easier imo

Did OINP mention anything when you called up?

Any idea how someone who could not continue working or had stopped working, would apply for this? This is aimed to address people in scenarios of recent and nearing expiry isnt it?

They mentioned that only people who were invited are able to receive their letter.

Regarding to your other question unfortunately I am not sure how to contribute with it at this moment. If receive any other information I will share with you. I'm planning to contract Canada.visa support.

yeah they gave me the same explanation. That’s basically the existing process within OINP i.e the nomination. However, This policy allows you to apply for work permit which is to IRCC. So, I think EOI is a must but gotta wait for a clear update about the letter

The point is: I have PGWP and it can not be extended. I need to find another way through express entry as Canadian Experience. With low score because of the age, I will continue wait for PNP. When did you apply? I've heard that people are waiting for more than an year but a coworker had the same time-line as mine but he already applied for PR throughout PNP Ontario.
