most likely they will be working with 2 or 3 days off here and there

I also believe they will work most days of January.

Guys, I need your advice. I got married on 17th Dec. and my wife took my last name instead of her maiden name during marriage.

Now, if an ITA comes in a few days as we all hope it will, can I submit her current ID/Passport with her old (maiden) name since it can take up to a month or two to get new documents?
Any experience, advice? Greatly appreciated!

I have no experience with this, but I would say hold off updating the passport until you complete the PR process.

Did you get married between OINP nomination and ITA??? :P Congraz btw.

I am just curious, were you applying for OINP as a solo applicant?

Yes cococly, I applied for OINP in January 2016, got nominated on Dec 15th, married on 17th and accepted the nom. on 18th :)
Thanks ;)

No, my wife was included in the application as a Common-Law partner, although not-accompanying. Now wife, but still not-accompanying...

Nothing will happen...even they know changing name in all the documents will take more thn a month..you can submit all the supporting docs like marriage certificate, letter of explanation saying that you are married and your wife has decided to use your name but the docs have got her maiden name as it will take time to change the name

Hello guys! Finally I was able to talk to OINP office a couple minutes ago. They updated my new EE profile information. My representative had sent them an email with the new number on Dec 9, so I guess for those who sent emails, is better to follow up over the phone.

They also confirmed they will work normally on holiday season (dec-jan). OINP will only close on Dec 26 and 27. The other days will be normal workdays. And OINP intends to finish all pending processing by the end of 2016.

One last thing: my file is still in decision phase... :(

Best regards!

I am silent follower of this forum. I wanted to update you guys that I got nominated on dec 16 (cec inland - file submission - jan 27)
I would like to thank all you guys for keeping our spirits high all through the nomination process.

When do we get the nomination letter by mail ? do we get notified of the tracking number ?
