I think in Canada is customary for husband and wife to have joint accounts, so when they see money in separate accounts they tend to question the fact... I think you'll be fine now, money in your account was the show of will or proof they needed to make sure you'll be able to use the money as you see fit (in this case for immigration's purpose).

Based on what you are saying I can only assume that it is up to the discretion of the OINP Officer, because they mentioned in an e-mail that I can use my wife funds as long as she is accompanying me. I guess when I receive my additional document request, they might ask that all funds be in my name.

It can range from a week to a month post submission of additional documents requested by OINP.

I know a guy who got nomination from Nova Scotia and he had shown funds of his wife with a noc from his wife..so if canada government is accepting funds of your spouse ontario will without any doubt accept it...and I had shown both funds in my account and my wife's as well...they have not mentioned in the mail that funds needs to me only in primary applicants name..

Looking forward to it. Coming to think of it now, I might not get any additional document requests. The reason for this is because my wife and I had a baby on June 21st and I got his passport on the 24th October. So I sent my son's passport and updated proof of funds on the 25th October.

The only thing that I can think of that they might ask for is proof of Job Search, which I have. So I'll wait to see if they request anything at all, or if I just get that long awaited nomination.

In addition what g126 suggested, the most very important thing is your NOC.

You must take out statistic of Industries in On that consume your NOC. Show them what is the ratio of job availability compared to other provinces. Give them proof of the job banks you have registered and any job you have applied. In short your NOC must be in demand in ON. Show them under how many titles you can get a job, list of job titles.

What if the Job Banks has NO DATA on a particular NOC? Some applicants could be applying with a less-common NOC. Why SHOULD they do?
