My application was received 28th Jan as per my courier but I haven't heard from them once, dropped in mail couple of times to check on application status, no news. Also my deadline was 31 given I received my interest letter on 17 Dec 2:30 PM EST and 30 & 31st was a weekend. Any thoughts people?

Hello all. I rcvd AOR today. App submitted by hand on 28 Jan. Kindly update.

Meanwhile, am on SOWP which expires on Nov 30. I have a full time job with one of the big 5 banks. I read somewhere that there will be priority for applicants whose WP will be expiring within 4 months if they notify OINP. Is this true please?

I am on the same boat with expiring on Oct, one of the big banks! I have sent many emails, called several time, no luck.

@prashant - congrats man, you deserve it... Congrats to everyone else who have received AORs as well...

Wait 1-2 days before you send, I'm sure you will receive it in the meanwhile. Send by email and Fax, they tend to respond to fax quicker.
You need to mention details like name, passport number, nationality, EE number, Job code, email address, DOB... that should be enough.

With gods grace we received the AOR around an hour ago. File Number is XHSW-16042XX, they asked for a new DD also.

In my DD receipt file number is not same as file number in the AOR, rather it is same as case number in AOR. Is it the same for all ? Do I need to contact them for this ?

Guys now that I have received my AOR, I am little worried about one of the points :

If you are a candidate through one of the Ontario Express Entry streams, please note that your Express Entry profile must remain up-to-date throughout all processing stages of your application. Candidates for the Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream must also continue to maintain a score of 400 points or above in the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.

My current score is 396 which reduced due to Age. Does this effect in any which ways.

Hi guys,

I have got a basic but very important question here. I want to understand why applicants try so hard to stay in Canada after expiry of WP? Many of them stay on visitor visa or student visa, few just apply for WP and buy some more time when they already know their application is going to be rejected. They cant even work in Canada. What would happen if they go back to their home country when province is processing their application? Isn't it a better option rather than staying jobless in Canada? What if person is not able to manage extension of WP, visitor or student visa?

I completely understand that after provincial nomination or AOR from CIC, one can apply for BOWP which is a good option to stay in Canada because person can also work in Canada, while his/her application is being processed by CIC.

Please clear my doubt.

It is because first, finding a good job is not that easy as you think. Second, it is Ontario's delay in processing our applications that we are in this situation, and losing our jobs. Third, going back to country is additional cost, when all your family members lives in Canada. Forth, somewhere in the guidance it said we need to keep our full-time permanent position. Delay in processing applications, and consequently losing our job is not our fault, but it has impact on our application.

This is great!! Congrats Prashant!! So nice to see AOR winning over AOR-Pending in the list... haha

Looks like OINP will issue AORs to all first and then the elusive nominations process will start.

BTW, does anyone have some insight into the contract employees OINP had hired? I think, their contracts were going to end in July and now renewed from Aug again for few more months. Perhaps that's the reason there was a dull period in July and it has picked up the pace now since contracts are renewed.

I am losing my full-time job for delay in process, are they going to hire part-time contracts? I can help them to process applications faster!!!
