IF this is the speed of giving AOR than all applicants DD will expire who have applied after 15th or 20th December.

Patience and positive attitude are only things one should have, considering present circumstances. We all gonna get AOR's soon, that's for sure.

ONIP has stopped giving new PT interests letter since second week of February, which is also another sign that they are also aware about backlog and outstanding applicants.

More than likely by the end of this month to mid-June, January applicants would start receiving AORs. I know a lot of us may be concerned about our Demand Drafts (DD) and their expiration.

Personally, I am hoping to get an AOR before the first week of July. This is because I got my DD just before sending to Ontario and these drafts are usually valid for 180 days.

For Canadian money orders ordered at a Canadian Bank, it should not expire.

I confirmed with two tellers from BMO. Someone from the Dec thread also confirmed with TD I guess.

For DD it is different, and it expires. Therefore, if your money order is from a local Canadian bank, you should be safe. However, as long as you are already in Canada, always go ask your bank.

Yeah I saw that and I am still trying to figure out what that means, I think we should be fine though. My concern is when will they send the AORs and when will we get the nominations, they are about to receive a flood of phone calls tomorrow so I hope they are bracing themselves for it.

Everybody, please don't get confused:

Ontario stopped sending Notifications of Interest (NOIs) for the OINP Human Capital Priorities (Express Entry) stream effective February 16, 2016.

Ontario temporarily paused the intake of new applications for the following select, high-volume OINP streams effective 5 p.m. EDT on May 9, 2016:
Employer Pre-screen
International Student – Masters Graduate stream
International Student – PhD Graduate stream

We were issued NOIs before Feb 16 for which we already sent applications.

If you have not yet received AOR from OINP, you can write to Ontario with a request to withdraw your nominee application. You can mention that you have been already nominated by another province. It has worked for people in the past - some got nomination from other province, while some got direct ITA and they withdrew their application and got their money back as well. It may sometimes work for you as well.
