I have a question I would really need help/advice with. Here is a short info about my case:

FSW Outland
OINP App. received: January 27, 2016.
AOR: Pending

I was wandering if switching jobs would have any effect on processing of my application.
When I submitted my OINP application I was claiming five and a half years of work experience in the current company and I sent the appropriate Reference Letter. If I go to work for another employer in my country, would I need to inform Ontario about this change? More importantly, would this mean my application could be returned/delayed?

Is it expected that I get a Reference Letter from the new employer, since I believe it could be kind of difficult to get it from someone who just hired me. I know there are ways to approach your employer but realistically, it is much more difficult to explain when you just started working and they expect you're gonna be there for some time.

Is the situation different after getting AOR?

These changes needs to be notified immediately.

Is it expected that I get a Reference Letter from the new employer, since I believe it could be kind of difficult to get it from someone who just hired me. Before joining, ask your future employer to provide you the job and responsibilities letter, in the same format OINP has asked. On questioning, just tell them you want to be sure that you do the same work for which you are getting hired.

If it happens after getting AOR, then it was no problem. However, you can always call OINP and ask for their suggestions. Your situation is pretty much common so don't worry. It is just extra work, to get your details included in your application.

Indeed, you do need to inform them after getting AOR as well. It is just once you get AOR then there are very less chances to get in trouble. After getting AOR, you will have to provide all documentation i.e. Reference letter and pay stubs.

I called 3-4 times, but no one picked up. after 4th try, someone picked up, and he opened my profile after asking my submission date, first and last name. My firstname is a bit longer, so he also confirmed the whole name after looking at my profile.

Now about the status, he said someone has already looked up my profile and accepted as complete and will receive acknowledgment in 3 weeks and I asked about nomination, he said "a couple of months".


PS : submitted on 6th January, CEC inland.

So I've applied for OINP and currently am just waiting for the AOR etc etc.

I currently am residing in Calgary, Alberta and I worked there for the past year (working holiday visa, because it's close to the mountains).
But I've sinced decided I want to move to Ontario to further my career etc.

I have heard that some applicants were given some trouble by OINP and CIC because they lived in Canada outside the nominating province before applying.
Will this be a problem for me ?

I have no problem giving a settlement plan and I've written a letter of intent for OINP stating all my reasons of wanting to move there & my future plans.
But I am currently still living in Alberta jobless because if i get rejected, i'll have to go back home to New Zealand.

So, ....do they (CIC and OINP) give you trouble if you've lived in a province outside ontario before applying for OINP ?

According to me, as long as you have right documentation and valid reason, you do not need to worry about anything. Also, if authorities have such rules to avoid those applicants who are already in canada (other provinces) and applying for another province then you cannot do anything.

But I have heard, if you are already on PR, let say Ontario and you couldn't find suitable job then you may ask CIC to give you permission to move to another province.

I submitted mine on 28th Jan... I got a reply, its still in queue, not yet started working on it

I have sent my application on 20th Jan.'16. But still not got anything from there, not even AOR.
Upon sending e-mail enquiry, they send a standard reply that my application is in queue.

Can anyone guide what to do?
