Truth be told, there aren't many ways to extend a WP unless you have a LMIA
But considering that Ontario is speeding up Nominations for applicants whose permits are going to be over soon, i say be ready with all docs, accept invite & upload all docs for Express Entry as soon as nomination comes, so that you can apply for BOWP.

In my case my work permit ran out in April but since then i have been staying in Canada on a Visitor Permit, hope Ontario considers that as an legal status in Canada.

I stated in my application that Ontario will be processing my PNP soon, so i need to stay here a little longer and they gave me 6 month permit.

At this moment, OINP is focusing on CEC Inland applicants with expiring work permit in next 90 days.

So Yes, they are giving priority to them for now...!!! Sad but truth!

Guys, I haven't been too active here. I found out last week that CIC has encashed my DD. I haven't received any AOR yet. I got PT notification on Jan 14th and my application was received by Jan 28th.

Any idea how long it takes to get AOR after DD is encashed?

Are you in Canada? Is your work permit is expiring soon?

Answering to your quesiton, if your DD is encashed then you have already got AOR.

You should get official confirmation soon. Moreover, you can ask from OINP officials on email or phone.
