there is one more news that might hurt us the Jan 2016 applicants IMO.
Canadian parliament unanimously passed resolution to settle yazidi refugees in canada .dont know but it has been discussed on various threads that Syrian refugee settlement led to delays of oinp applicants in 2016.
if that's true and govt prefers cec and refugees first then fsw 2016 applicants might have to go through very rough time even in 2017 .
seniors pls provide your opinion if possible.
John McCallum just announced on Friday that he is going to increase the number of Immigrants significantly, first year would be 320k, all they way too 450k by 2021. He also mentioned that "Economical Immigrants " I.E is us will be his priority. Please read the article attached below and Don't worry OINP is working really hard to get the nominations out!

I had an opportunity to read on CIC's website the speech given by John MCCallum (Immigration Minister) at a luncheon hosted by Canadian Club recently. (Keep in mind that this lunch was mostly business tycoons, so they tend to be more nicer about jobs etc) its quite detail, i strongly urge everyone to read it. It basically outlines that they will think more of international students and invest more in PNP programs(I.E increase they number of applications from 5,500 to more for FSW etc). They have reached their target to clear family immigration back log and kept the promise to help refugees. Now the economical classes (thats right "you and me") will be considered.
