We should have 2 more columns in the OINP January spreadsheet for Assessment Phase and Decision Phase. Can the owner do that?

As per my AOR letter, "OINP will notify you when your application moves to the assessment phase and again when your application moves to the decision phase." This update would give an estimate of the timing for those who received AOR and are still waiting for the next steps.

There is one member (gntofon) who submitted the OINP application on 18th January and his/her application is now in the assessment phase (although his AOR was missing).

2 Questions:

In my AOR letter (received earlier this week) it says:

Should your Express Entry profile - for which Ontario’s Notification of Interest was
issued - expire or be removed from the Express Entry system, and should you wish to
continue with your OINP application using a new profile, you must email the following to
our office within 30 calendar days of this letter:
 The Express Entry number/job seeker validation code for your new profile;
 A copy of the letter you received from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) acknowledging the new profile;
 A letter explaining why you updated your profile; and
 A list of the additional or updated information you provided in your new Express Entry profile.

Question 1:
Since I received my AOR earlier in the week and created my EE profile in early December 2015 and at the moment it seems like getting the Nomination from here will still take another 6-9 month I know my EE profile will likely expire does this mean I should create a new one now or will it be possible at a later stage again? Note it says "should you wish to continue with your OINP application using a new profile, you must email the following to our office within 30 calendar days of this letter", in the AOR letter received today.

Question 2:
It says to "include a copy of the letter you received from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) acknowledging the new profile". I don't remember ever receiving a physical letter after creating my EE profile, just an email is that what they mean by letter?

Anybody received their old DD back? By when can I expect it? Guess without that you cannot get the refund.

Side Notes: Seeing some CEC-inland getting nominations in 3 days makes me think that it shouldn't take long for OINP to "vet/Verified our documents" for FSW.

OINP CAN PROCESS our applications quickly, it's just that they didn't intend to do so.

Obviously it will take more time for FSW because for CEC they dont have to check pof, they have other immigration documents so background check is done, T4 and notice of assessment give them information about work. They can call employers and candidates easily, DD expiry is not an isue. for example, if they have to call someone in India which time they will call? It will be night during OINP working hours. These reasons defenately prolong processing times. With IRCC it is different, they have offices in each country. It is first time for OINP to deal with fsw candidates

I received below mail from OINP today

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Please be advised that our records indicate the file referenced is at the second stage of processing, pending review by an Investigator Analyst.
If there is any further information needed for your application, you will be contacted by our officer.
Please note that if you are in Canada, it is your responsibility to remain in legal status throughout the time while your application is being processed by our program.

Sent new DD today to OINP... As per AOR mail advice...

Cool, I'll send mine tomorrow.

I'm gonna send new Proof of Funds (past one year statement), Latest salary slips of my current employer, email copy in which they asked for new DD and AOR copy. So that they don't come back to ask for new proof of funds.

But you never know!!

No one can say when OINP will start issuing nominations until we see some regular movement in processing. Yes, you need to create new EE profile and notify OINP with the details they have asked for. If in future EE profile expires again, then again you can create new profile until you/we receive nomination.

It is a message which applicant gets on creation of new profile, in EE profile itself.

It takes 15-25 days, and usually they are sending it after getting new DD unless you request them explicitly to send the old one first.
