Update: My application has changed from submitted to assessment.submitted on sept 25th
I submitted my documents on Sep 24th, and it was changed to Assessment on 18th October. However, they asked me for an additional document on 21st Oct. so I uploaded it on 25th Oct. And the status was changed Decision in progress same day. But still, I'm waiting for the result.Has anyone gotten a decision yet. Mine changed from assessment to Decision in progress. Does anyone have an idea on how long it would take to get a decision? Does anyone know any other active link where people are posting their timelines and progress of their application.
Wow then it takes some time to get a decision. Thank youI submitted my documents on Sep 24th, and it was changed to Assessment on 18th October. I saw someone only took 2 days to get the results from DIP status. but the others said took 2 weeks. So I think it depends on who is your agent.Wow then it takes some time to get a decision. Thank you
Yes you are right.I have received it. I received it two days after on the 4th of Nov. Goodluck.I saw someone only took 2 days to get the results from DIP status. but the others said took 2 weeks. So I think it depends on who is your agent.
Intl Student and masters stream are paper based applications and have the same timeline. (About 18 months- 2years) It depends. Intl student stream is usually an option you take when your CEC score isn’t high enough. Masters stream is when you don’t have work experience, or a NOC qualifying work experience/position.Hey guys, which stream is better, Intl student job offer or Master's steam? Also, how long does it take to get PR after NOI. I dont wanna spend $1500 if EE-CEC is faster
Yeah CEC is way better. Im just not sure what NOC code my job will fall under, thats the problem. The responsibilities is more important than the title right?Intl Student and masters stream are paper based applications and have the same timeline. (About 18 months- 2years) It depends. CEC is processed online and the timeline is faster. (About 6 to 8 months)
You can also apply for both. It’s a personal choice. I applied for TR to PR pathway and I have also applied to MA stream. I have received my nomination letter from OINP, but still yet to hear from Tr to Pr. So whichever comes first for me I would withdraw the other.
I have no idea on that. There is nowhere on their website it says that but I have heard that randomly. They are very strict with CEC applications so consult an immigration Lawyer for that or do more research. Good luckYeah CEC is way better. Where does it say regarding the 1 year Master's program?Hi all, I was tracking and considering the OINP masters program quite seriously but recently I saw an updated scoring grid on their page:
https://www.ontario.ca/page/register-expression-interest-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program
Now it looks like Canadian Education will only get you points if you've done at least a 2yr length course.. so no more 1yr Masters for OINP then?
Earlier there was no duration clause on the Canadian education points in that grid.. (I wish I had a screenshot of it)
In that case getting the 35 pts (the latest round cutoff) is almost impossible for me till I get a job post Masters and complete 1yr, by then I'll be eligible for CEC itself!
Can the experts here confirm whether I'm correct in my assessment of this change?
My potential pts (If indeed I go for Masters OINP prog): 30pts
Canadian work experience: duration: 0pts
Canadian work experience: NOC skill level: 0pts
Canadian work experience: earnings history: 0pts
Field of study (Canadian credential) Arts and Humanities – 5 points
Canadian education experience
(credential must be from a Canadian public institution and be at least two years in length)
0pts
Official language ability 10pts
Knowledge of official languages 5pts
Regional immigration: location of study Outside GTA – 10 points
Thanks in advance
