Unless you and I want to work at a McDonalds we shouldn't compare ourselves with these people. The game is only rigged if these people are sitting on wall street running hedge funds.
Best wishes to you. You are right the game is not rigged. Thanks for enlightening me. Take care.

Anyway, in case I withdraw after getting frustrated. I wish all of you the best. Hope you all get the Nomination fast and can reach CA. Best wishes.
I would be off the thread now. Peace out.
Bro, the game is not rigged. These countries are also trying to help as much as they can but there is limited number of people that can come in.

Also, someone who gets to the Mexico border, is not going to reach easily. It's a lot of risk to your life, health and any money you have. You must be extremely desperate or super stupid to take that route. In the end everyone is trying to provide for themselves and, more than themselves, for their families. It's not fair I know. But life is not fair. People who come to US/Canada illegally must think that how is it fair that we were able to study and work hard whereas they are stuck with only refugee options. I think we are still faring much better given that we have this chance.

Please don't withdraw. Let's get through this together.

Mate, granted that life is unfair, but states are bound to the welfare of their citizens and legal subjects/entrants only, that’s the ruthless Machiavellian way by which states operate. I’ll always advocate for measures against illegal immigration no matter how inconsiderate I sound. I doubt anyone here has it in them to force any states’ hand alike the illegal immigrants, or we wouldn’t be going through this frustrating process. Such illegal immigrants have little to no contributions to the state’s economy.

But anyway, this surely is a frustratingly lengthy process, so we should hold our horses and hang in tight there, because it will happen eventually, think of the SINP applicants who have to wait more than 6 months for provincial nomination. Once we’re through the provincial nomination milestone, the upcoming post ITA process is relatively shorter.

Withdraw?? Mate, that would be a really foolish thing to do given the fact that immigration is already tough for people with no ITA, PNP EOI. I know it's hard to wait, but at least the end result of this entire process is landing in Canada. I'd say just be patient rather than regretting your decision of withdrawing your only chance of direct immigration for god knows how long.

Yep patience is the key here. Guys in the website it says for HCP it will take around 70-100 days to provide the nomination.
I know before the pandemic OINP used to give nominations within 30 days. But it is what it is. We should worry about the things we can only control.
If we receive an ITA via STEM can take some calculated risks otherwise it is not a good idea to withdraw.

If the application is already is processing, there will be no refund anyway. No point withdrawing it. Just forget about it for a few months then oneday you will be notified that you have been nominated for OINP! Hang in there everyone. Something is better than nothing.

I agree. Illegal immigration is not a solution. Neither is legal immigration. We leave our families and our lives behind, why? Not everyone can leave and when skilled people emigrate, it depletes brain power from our countries even more. However, it's not true that illegal immigrants don't contribute. They contribute plenty to be not discarded when inconvenient. I would say if someone can make the treacherous journey of waters and land to get to the borders, they should at least be heard. I would always advocate against these journeys because like any other black market, we should do anything in our power tk quash this because these traffickers are beyond evil.

I absolutely agree to be patient. I like to check my status every hour though lol. Also, by the way, these organizations, OINP, IRCC etc. are understaffed. They don't have enough qualified people. And like any other government organization, they are bound to be a bit chill in their work. Let's give them a break too. Hope to see you all in Canada.

Cool bro, some people have submitted their apps on May 7, 2023. I wonder how prepared people are lol, its like give them PPR today and they will fly tomorrow.
Hahaha I was wondering the same thing. It took me 3 weeks to get my reference letters and bank statements. Lol.

Best of luck to all!

Mine is 479. I was really hoping for a big draw for STEM, similar to the healthcare draw. But 500 is way too low. Unless it was planned with OINP since they also conducted a tech draw the day after. Don't know what's next.
I was hoping that we (it's my husband who has the profile because he works in tech. I've been doing all the applications and paperwork) would have been able to get an ITA through a targeted tech draw. Could have saved $1500. Grateful for the NOI though, but still.......just want that ITA so I can stop worrying :(

LOL! Same. We were waiting on only 1 reference letter for an entire month. Wanted to submit from May 10 but had to wait.
