I have not notified OINP. Thats actually my problem. I am already nominated so what should I do now is the question.
you can just mention you did not submit the doc to OINP because it wasnt necessary.... but its up to you... take the route that you feel is the best for you

It wasn't just the document I skipped filling information that may or may not be relevant. It is not something that affects my nomination (it's not something that affects points) but nonetheless it's something that should have been included in the application. I think it will be fine because it doesn't affect the decision but at least in the EE application I will be including it.

And yes it's not easy to get a birth certificate changed. I enquired at the local office where births are recorded and I believe it's not a straight forward process and they didn't know if it can be even done. So I guess I should just inform OINP of this change in the profile. They may or may not care. Hopefully it doesn't matter much.

Hi All,

I received an ITA in Sep 19th draw and have few queries in filling the application:
1. I am going through OINP with only me as the applicant (no spouse). In the Personal Details > Family section, what should be the answer for "How many family members does Ravi have?"? Originally I marked it 1 as my plan was to go alone first and then process Open Work Permit and Spousal Permit for my wife later. Is this just information of my info or does this mean I am accompanying my spouse as well?
2. Next question to above is "How much money (in Canadian dollars) will Ravi bring to Canada? Should this be 13757 (1 member) or 17127 (2 members)?
3. In Contact Details section, all the addresses since I am 18 have been asked. While I have been in India all along, I am not sure when we moved into the first home and hence do not the exact date. Will giving a random date in the correct month and year suffice for old addresses?
4. In Personal History Section, They asked for all activities for the last 10 years since I am 18. While I graduated in 2015, I started working in occupation of current NOC code from 2017. From 2015-2017 I worked in a different profession for which I only have offer letters. Would this create an issue later?
5. In the personal history section, the form doesn't show complete until you fill all months in the last 10 years. Obviously, students wouldn't be doing anything in between high school and bachelor's program for 3-4 months? Can I just leave this as unemployed? What is the normal way of filling these minor gaps between education?
6. My wife doesn't have a last name. There is only one word for given name in her passport basically. How do I enter this for first and last names?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Ravi

Looking at the current scenario, are you still motivated to go to Canada?

We are pleased to inform you that your application for a certificate of nomination has been granted under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) subject to the following condition and/or restrictions:

Does this Canada and India issue will have any impact on immigration? Any thoughts
I think only those people whose visas need to be stamped/processed in the cadanian embassies in India would be affected(take longer) due to staff shortage iff canada starts to reduce their staff in their embassies in India. I hope that they resolve the issue quickly before it escalates any further.

PPRs will be delayed for sure. It will affect biometrics too at VFS if those services are running in reduced capacity.

I don't think so. Diplomacy has a long history of making a mountain out of a mole hill, especially with the current Indian administration that just loves a PR parade over literally anything. Bureaucracy on the other hand is the real machine doing the heavy lifting that always works the same way more or less.
